With the departure of Wantagh, and the additions of North Shore, Manhasset, and Hewlett, the conference has plenty of quality teams. What do you think will end up happening in the conference?
| EaglesLIC10Posts: 7Location: Join Date: November 15, 2008 9:21 AMSend Message | I don't think they are going to have a huge effect on the conference teams are decent at best in there divisions and they are not as strong as conference 3 and are not gonna have such a big impact and lawrence did this year. The Powerhouses are gonna stay Bethpage,Plainedge, and Lawrence. Repeat of this year Bethpage Plainedge and Lawrence Big 4 Teams maybe a hewlett team. Nassau County Championship Bethpage V. Plainedge. | |

We don't lose players we just reload. We will be just fine.

Wish your coaching had the same confidence maybe you would be #1 instead of #4? Show me where we are #4, from my understanding from the coaching staff their is a series of meetings still to come before any rankings are final. Also if it is true, its about time Shavers stepped up to the plate and took a #1 seed. I still won't believe it til I see it. Who is #3, I am assuming you and Lawrence are 1 and 2.
| nassaucountyc3fanPosts: 8Location: Join Date: February 10, 2009 10:09 PMSend Message | I believe that Lawrence is 1 and PLainedge is 2. This is going to be another intesresting year in conference 3. I think that PLainedge, Lawrence, Bethpage and Hewlett will be in the top 4. I really like Plainedge's chances this year with a quarterback that knows the offense and can be very effective and an offense and defensive line that is going to be huge. Plainedge also has some good runningbacks and wide recievers that can take them far this year. I look to see Lawrence with their experience and Plainedge in the finals. | |
| nassauconference3Posts: 20Location: Join Date: February 2, 2009 6:31 PMSend Message | 1. Lawrence 2. Plainedge 3. Hewlett 4. Bethpage 5. Glen Cove 6. North Shore 7. Lynbrook 8. Great Neck North 9. Manhasset 10. South Side 11. Sewanhaka 12. Westbury 13 Valley Stream South 14. West Hempstead
I'm pretty sure these were the final seedings but I'm not totally sure about Glen Cove and South Side. Lawrence is definitely one of the top teams this year, is Plainedge going to be a true 2?
| nassaucountyc3fanPosts: 8Location: Join Date: February 10, 2009 10:09 PMSend Message | How don't you think Plainedge is going to be a true #2 seed. People may be counting them out because they lost a lot of seniors but the juniors that are going to be seniors have tons of talent. I like the way the Plainedge offense is led by their quarterback #9 and their runningbacks and wideouts. The Plainedge line is going to be the x factor this year and i think they can pull through. Of course Plainedge is going to be a true #2 seed. | |

Plainedge lost 4 three year starters and that will be hard to replace. They will have 2 returning linemen one is a little undersized and the other has been hurt. Their QB will have to play bothways to fill the gap at LB. They will have a JR. fullback and a SO. running Back that will have to step up. They have one great returning dline men he will have to hold the d line together as the others are new to the position and undersized for a full season. Glen Cove will be the sleeper as they steped it up last year and hope to improve and only lost a few non impact seniors. Lawrence will be there but has proven that the jump from d2 to d3 is not easy and can not beat the big teams. The other three teames added to the conference will find out the same thing and we weak in conf 2. It looks like this conf is wide open. Good luck and work hard in the off season as that will payoff in november.

I would watch out for Glen Cove, their unconventional offense, team speed, and size. Lynbrook might be pretty good. I don't know what happens to these kids when they get to the varsity. When you have 60 kids playing you are usually going to find 11 that can play. South Side I understand is a down year. Other than those teams I don't see any other making upsets.

I think that although Lawrence has their QB and RB coming back that they are going to be in some close games. Plainedge's QB and the rest of the offense will have to score big and see if their agressive defense can keep their opponents out of the endzone. I also think that Bethpage might struggles because of all of the senior leaders that they lost and the lack of junior experience. This year in conference 3 should be fun like alwas

The sophmore and junior linemen coming up for Bethpage are pretty big and probably would of started for any other school. They got to bang heads against all that experience last year. Bethpage has alot of talent at the skill positions.

David Ng and Chris Kelly with experiance at the Dtackle position Adam Kuemmel and Will Crapo with Experiance at Dend 3 Returning RB's that would have started without call county players infront of them. all got handoffs in vitually everygame. 2 Great Recievers Mike Vannuchi and DJ gillen are going to leave the defense looking at eachother asking what just happend?
