| gdspga8Posts: 274Location: Join Date: April 23, 2008 7:39 AMSend Message | The 3 qb's from Bethpage, Plainedge, and Lawrence. | |
| nassauconference3Posts: 20Location: Join Date: February 2, 2009 6:31 PMSend Message | The qb's from great neck north and lynbrook were all-county as juniors. | |
| gdspga8Posts: 274Location: Join Date: April 23, 2008 7:39 AMSend Message | Your point is what? They are playing on possibly non playoff teams. GNN football anything other than fencing or tennis is a joke. The Lynbrook kid did nothing against us twice. The QB's on the teams I mentioned are going to be under the microscope and will be determining how far their team goes. Making all county is a joke, when you have 4 quarterbacks from 1 conference make it how is it an all star team. | |
| nassaufootball7Posts: 23Location: Join Date: October 3, 2008 2:36 PMSend Message | bethpage's qb last year never threw the ball, so i dont see this year's throwing any more. I saw him throw it a few times and it was pretty sad (wobbly lollipop throws, at best) he did run pretty well, but as far as a player to watch, i dont see how any bethpage qb would ever be a player to watch, seeing that the qb hands the ball off 95% of the time...and throws .5% (maybe).
the lawrence qb, though...i think hes good
| gdspga8Posts: 274Location: Join Date: April 23, 2008 7:39 AMSend Message | The Bethpage qb is the cog that makes the wishbone run, so for you say he is not important is not a very bright statement. Whenever you seen him throw last year was all from gadget plays not the set offense. The kid missed half the season last year also. The starter and the backup both have very strong arms and you might be suprised what you see this year. | |
| nassauconference3Posts: 20Location: Join Date: February 2, 2009 6:31 PMSend Message | He is definitely the centerpiece of the offense, but it's always a Bethpage running back that gets the glory. So yeah he might be important, but he's more of a behind the scenes role, compared to a guy like Gleuckert. | |
| gdspga8Posts: 274Location: Join Date: April 23, 2008 7:39 AMSend Message | What about Haugen, Crotty, McCoy and the list goes on they have been more all Long Island qb's from Bethpage than running backs. Most likely because of our rotation. | |

I'll give you guys a heads up on one of the top players to watch next year in confernce 3. Upcoming junior Brian Wint from Sewanhaka CB,WR,QB,PR,KR. He didnt play varsity last year until the last game of the season against Wantagh had over 100 all-purpose yards including a 60 yard punt return for a TD against the warriors. Kid is real deal check out the his highlight tape http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHrn0ELClsk.

We were not talking the past, who cares what happened 3 years ago and move on. All 3 of those qb's from Bethpage were all long island.

Full Returning Dline for plainedge.David Ng and Chris Kelly with experiance at the Dtackle positionAdam Kuemmel and Will Crapo with Experiance at Dend3 Returning RB's that would have started without call county players infront of them.all got handoffs in vitually everygame.2 Great Recievers Mike Vannuchi and DJ gillen are going to leave the defense looking at eachother asking what just happend?
The whole county is waiting to see 82 this year. He had a great wrestling season (all county)he is a stud. You cant have your QB play the dline. The other 2 looked great aginst Valley Stream but alittle tentive in the championship game. The qb wil be the team leader and needs to keep the team together on and off the field as in the past. The wide out 4 will be ok but they need another one to step up and stop the double team. We want to see the JV fullback he is going to carry this team and it needs to start now.

Last year's Plainedge o-line was very good and im not taking an ything away from them, but between rossi running around making plays and fusco, kennedy, and bellairs surrounding him, they made the line look a lot better. How many guys are re turning from the oline and what are their numbers? and is this jv fullback going to transform into a varsity difference maker?

I want to see how their defense can do against teams like bethpage and lawrence and then we will see how well they will contend.

The oline was solid last year 77-68-60-76 and TE18. They only have one returning 50 he replaced someone midseason and did a great job. Work hard in the offseason and be a leader.

There is a returning senior tail back #36 and a returning junior fullback #45 to run the backfield next year. The same combo on the undefeated plainedge jv team in 2007. There is a 10th grade running back moving up to varsity to watch and learn how varsity is a totaly different game then jv. The plainedge offensive line and tailback 36 and fullback 45 will be strong factors in ever game played.
