Did the Mets medical staff miss another one? Here is a note about Beltran on my Yahoo fantasy baseball team:

Beltran, as expected, sought a second opinion on Monday on his ailing right knee, but what will raise red flags is who he saw, the NY Daily News' Mets blog reports.

Recommendation: Assistant GM John Ricco says Beltran's second opinion is with Dr. Richard Steadman in Vail, Colo. They specialize in microfracture surgery, but Ricco said not to read into that. It was just Scott Boras' preference for a doctor to render an independent opinion. Any time you hear microfracture surgery, it is cause for concern, but more will be known once the results of that exam are revealed.
