McNamee:  “despite what Clemens says he was at the Canseco party”

This guy is getting undone; don’t even give him more rope he doesn’t need it. He’s out of control!

I was going to say he has developed a messianic complex but on second thought he really believe he can outsmart the law and whatever he says weights heavily against anybody he chooses to target. He knows he faces jail time; he has to know that he’s not stupid and he’s so far gone he doesn’t even notice his lawyers don’t care, they’re in for the ride (to fame) and they’ll blame the system in the end when the truth is they didn’t care about their client from the very beginning. And they were encouraged by the likes of Stupica and other tabloid writers and this will be the end result. And nobody is sorry about him anymore not after his litany of lies. Neat lies but lies nevertheless.

What went up must now  . . .

Bruce4Real

Hey Hardin you dumb a$$ let Lanny Breuer handle the case. Your present style is bound to hurt your client.

And while you're at it . . . . let a fashion expert pick your ties. You’re hurting my eyes as you’ll surely hurt the eyes of the House members on D day. You’re letting your wife pick your ties and they’re nice . . .in Friggingtown, Texas  . . . . but not in Washington D.C.

You can take that to the bank.

Bruce4Real

The key to the Rocket saving his butt is going to be listening to his true lawyer Breuer intently. He has been condemned in the court of public opinion by a bunch of hypocrites that claim day in and day out they are all for individual rights; right Lupica? (unless they’re fighting for headlines).

The cornerstones of the case against Clemens are basically two: the testimony of a twisted individual who kept bloody material allegedly containing traces of Clemens DNA for no apparent reason for seven frigging years and the time honored senator who every tabloid claim is honorable, fair and used to be a great investigator and a judge.

The truth is that if this is just another politician who doesn’t give crap about baseball or baseball fans or the youth of America. If he did he would have acted like a real and impartial investigator, employed at least a bunch of also true investigators and would have done an in depth job while charging less that the millions and millions he did.

Bruce4Real

I’m bringing this up this time because Jon Heyman of SI just wrote that “The House committee reveres Mitchell, treating him with such reverence during his testimony last month that at least one of them worried aloud about whether his questioning might cause Mitchell to miss a train out of town.”

So that was this is all about. I can picture the scene as it played out: “Excuse me honorable and illustrious senator but the next Acela is leaving in two hours aren’t you supposed to be on it, the subsequent one leaves two hours later, I’m so worried you might miss your ride home, please forgive me for daring to speak to you in such unauthorized manner your highness.”

If this doesn’t make you gag I don’t know what it will.

At a time when we think we have advanced, in terms of individual freedom so much compared to let’s say 50 or 60 years ago; the truth is some individuals have more freedom than others, depending on who holds the reigns of the House or the Senate, (thanks to our glorious two party system, no wonder we keep electing idiots for Congressmen and Presidents with no respite in sight) but it still is business as usual.

The fate of one of the greatest pitcher in modern times (or in our lifetime as many of the writers of SI had been saying prior to the Mitchell report. So were they stupid or they’re just democrats?) is tied to whether the members of the House Committee dare to go against this powerful individual Mitchell (despite not holding public office anymore) and in order not to put their political future in jeopardy they will vote according to Mitchell’s wishes so the PATRICIAN will not be upset and get even with them?

McCarthyism all over again?  No wonder Lady Liberty has tears in her eyes.

Bruce4Real

Let me repeat Heyman’s proposition: “The House committee reveres Mitchell, treating him with SUCH REVERENCE DURING HIS TESTIMONY last month that at least one of them WORRIED ALOUD about whether his questioning MIGHT CAUSE Mitchell to MISS A TRAIN OUT OF TOWN.”

This is easily one of the most deplorable statements I have ever read and to have a SI’s writer not only repeat it with gusto but to condone it is enough to make you puke.

George King III is a typical jerk like most tabloid writers are. I’ll explain why.

Back last year after the Yanks were eliminated from the playoffs the Yankees had a few issues: 1) Alex opted out 2) Posada. Mo and Joe weren’t signed.

Some of us at that time said: don’t touch Alex, he opted out, we lost the money from the Rangers let him go. 99 % of the media said: How can you replace 156 RBI’s? End result: Alex was re-signed at a record figure. We said MO is finished and he doesn’t deserve the number of years he’s asking for and just call his bluff; 99% of the media said: How can you not re-sign the best closer that ever was and still is. End result: Mo was signed at a high cost. We said call Jorge’s bluff, he’s not even a good catcher with men on the bases, 99% of the media said (including Stupica) Posada is the best catcher and the best Yankee give him the money. End result he was re-signed for too high a number of years for a ton of money. We said the money used to sign Alex, Mo and Posada can be used to field a juggernaut a couple of years from now (with all those millions coming off the books) with a very relatively low payroll but Hank following the media’s advice re-signed everybody because the media was saying: if you don’t re-sign these guys you’ll have to sell the team while there are still buyers because the Yankees as a contender and as a product will be finished for many years to come.

We told Hank then: the same media who’s now pulling your strings will turn against you in an instant.

That’s were George King the frigging III comes in.

Bruce4Real

George King the frigging III says that because the Yankees re-signed Alex, Posada, Mo and Abreu "the Yankees are worse than they were that October night when the Indians eliminated them in the first round for the third straight season. Going into camp, there are more than a dozen issues facing a flawed and expensive Yankees team that won't make the playoffs."

Our response to George King the frigging III and others like him should be: Why don’t you kiss our collective butt and learn a thing or two about the sport? And to Hank: We’ve told you so.

Bruce4Real

Filip Bondy has a nice article on the Abreus vs. Lance Amstrong regarding a lawsuit involving Lance Amstrong (an Insurance Co. wanted to get out of paying Lance a few million bucks they owed him and subpoenaed the Abreus to testify in the case).

Betsy and Frankie Abreu are fine people therefore they cannot be compared to this character Pee-Wee (an alleged rapist and PED’s pusher). They were caught in the middle and had to testify as to what they overheard.  I follow cycling and La Tour De France and I have read about the case (when it happened not just today).

Betsy Abreu feels she’s in the same boat as McNamee but McNamee was the target of this investigation accused of distributing steroids and other PED’s. He just delivered on of his best friends to avoid going to jail. That’s a far cry from the Abreus who were innocent bystanders forced to testify against Lance. A sad story but far different from McNamee’s.

Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated resides in the wrong country. He should move to England where the kissing of Royalty’s derrieres is a healthy habit and one that is encouraged as well.

Bruce4Real

Even Theo has problems. The sux are not insured in case Girlie Curt breaks down as he surely will. They’ll be out of 8 million bucks. A drop in the bucket for Mitchell but the sux will surely miss that cash.

Yeah, go work for Theo and learn how to win a World Series Championship.  Get out of NY before it makes you go crazy.

The circus part one is over. It all boiled down to chairman Waxman paying tribute to Mitchell every time he had the microphone which was too many times (I know he’s the chairman but how do we elect these priicks)?

What are we thinking? I guess anybody may get elected in California). Mitchell was a private individual who performed an incredibly biased and expensive quasi-investigation as a favor for Bud and in truth he didn’t miss a chance to go after the Yankees in the persons of Pettitte and Clemens and the whole frigging media rubberstamped his half-a$$ job claiming it was at par with the peace treaty in Northern Ireland.

Unbiased this.
Bruce4Real

I ran out of fingers counting the times Waxman thanked Mitchell for a great job performed on behalf of the country’s youth. Yeah, great job this.

This was an immoral show of how corrupt the legislative body is; treating former party leaders like royalty tramping citizens’ rights in the process. Today is Clemens tomorrow will be your turn.

“Let me again say how grateful; to Senator Mitchell we are for leading this great investigation on behalf of the American people” Shameless *** kissing. This is a guy who is no longer in office yet his very name send shivers down the halls of Congress. That’s low, filthy. As a country we’re screwed.

Bruce4Real

You think your congressman has a chance to speak on your behalf?

Just remember the rodent-like chairman waving his hand like if he was dealing with a bunch of nobodies who were irrelevant to his very agenda, and just to make sure Mitchell got the message he made sure at the end (he knew before hand he would be the last one to talk) that he thanked the rapist for the great service he provided the nation and apologize for his subdits getting out of hand (those are our representatives you jerk “freely” elected by us to fight for our rights in Congress (and we thought the enemy were the Republicans).

Think again they don’t stand a chance against these professional freeloaders who specialize in making sure they spread the bacon amongst their friends and state friends. That couldn’t be more obvious. That non-exercise in freedom of speech was harmful to any youngster or kid witnessing the proceedings.

The Rocket was found guilty in the forum of public opinion long before he had a chance to mount a decent defense and all I’m talking about is the premise that every person is innocent until found guilty of a crime. And the saddest part is that these were the democrats giving us this exercise in futility but just as easy it could have been the Republicans if they were in power.

Bruce4Real

They kept accusing Clemens (most of them) and Mcnamee (some of them) of telling lies but when the reporters asked both Davies and Waxman about the fact that some of the questioning went along the party lines both of them LIED saying they didn’t see that.

Talk about double standards.

The only shining moment was when one of the congresswomen said the Committee had more important and compelling things to oversee that this circus yet it was lost in the many acts of this farce.

Take ESPN for instance where the main character (this John Candy look-alike jerk was happier than a **** with a new blank visualizing the jump he’ll make to the national scene in a greater role no doubt) giving his versions of the facts as he saw them through his pea brain.

Bruce4Real

Clemens on the other hand got what he paid for.

He chose this clown Hardin to represent him (surely because Hardin wouldn’t say no to him) but as much as I despise Pee-Wee and despite all the times people made fun of his bogus Ph.D. he certainly sounded more polished than the Rocket (light years ahead of Rocket) just like Breuer did sound far more polished that this clown Hardin who again let his wife picked another loud tie to attend the hearing.

Now this will surely move to the courts where the Rocket will make good use of the money he took from the Yankees and fight these guys with the right tools if he makes the mistake of thinking he can flirt with the courts the way he did with the house members he has a shock awaiting him. This fight will be to the death and the faster he gets a real lawyer with a bigger brain and a smaller ego the better.

Bruce4Real

I’m appalled that the Clemens treated HGH like if they were vitamins.

Clemens says he had preached to every HS or College athlete who’s willing to listen about the dangers awaiting those who want to take a shortcut instead of using preparation and hard work to succeed in any sports.

What about educating your children and YOUR WIFE first?
Bruce4Real

The Yankees will have to spend more money and get a new starter because these proceedings will render Pettitte ineffective.

There is no way Pettitte (considering Andy’s makeup and the pressure the press will put on him) can remain effective and that’s when this frigging jerk Mitchell did his job.

If he really wanted to help save baseball he didn’t have to mention names like he claimed it was his first option. Not because they were Yankee players but because every responsible writer found inappropriate that he took that job while still with the sux and guess what?  The only team that got screwed was the Yankees something he knew when he decided to accept the gift from the feds.

A better man would have said NO THAT”S NOT FAIR. Because if Clemens and Pettitte were playing for the sux you can bet your first born that he was not going to interview McNamee or mention their names in the report.

What he did was shameless and the worst part is that he was ready to leak those names should the Yankees had faced the Sux in the ALCS if you still don’t believe me you’re bigger fools than I thought.

His job is done the Yankees are screwed.
Bruce4Real

Some of you would say: “hey they did the deed and it’s not Mitchell’s fault that they got caught.”

But of course is his fault, once he found those two pitchers coming his way he forgot to actively investigate the rest of both Leagues.

You’re the ones who said the guy was smart, revered for his impartiality and ability. Any of those qualities would have made him act more honorable and take the higher way. He simply chose not to and the media (with some exceptions from the Times and another NY tabloid writer; not stupica) went along for the ride.

Two names will forever live in the Yankees lore: F.ing Mitchell and F.ing Lupica. We won’t forget those two frigging bastards and will make sure our children won't forget either.
