Tampa Bay was beating us last year even with Alex and Posada batting like champions with Alex tipping his hat to them every time they did that to us.
What Girardi needs to do is the same thing Madden did with Tampa Bay: make the team believe in themselves. It shouldn’t be difficult unless it only works with thousandaires but not with mega millionaires.

Foston is not going to wait forever guys. A few more of these games and WE will be the doormats of the AL East. I don’t think Tampa Bay will sustain this rhythm for the whole season though so the fact that matters is not that Tampa Bay is playing well but the fact that Foston is not . . . . There is a big difference there.
So get your stuff together and move upfront we’re getting breaks even when we’re not playing the sux let’s not lose sight of that.
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message | Now the tabloids are back on Ian Kennedy’s bandwagon . . . .WOW . . . . Kennedy has great potential again . . . . After one win in triple A? C’mon guys let’s get serious. Either there was nothing wrong with him and we just didn’t cut him enough slack or we don’t know what we’re talking about . . . OR BOTH. | |
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message |
BOTTOM LINE IS Foston lost again. Tomorrow will be a brand new day let’s start playing like we know how.
Let the tabloids worry to death . . .YOU . . . . Just get your act together and start playing great baseball with or without Alex . . . . Alex will get here sooner or later and he can’t carry the team all by himself. This a team sport . . . . Right?
Meantime Foston lost again . . . . . Oh GAM . . . . . again.
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message |
Let’s do it before Hank starts thinking about trading all our starters for Tampa Bay’s agreeing to pay for our starters salaries in the process . . . . At present time not a bad idea. 1.89 E.R.A? Match that or start pushing across the plate the same number of runs the opposition does . . . . . . Plus one.
But we still have the chance to concentrate on our own record as long as Foston remains in the sorry state they are. This offer won’t last for long though.
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message | We already know the blueprint for reaching the postseason . . . . . . It all starts with winning one series at a time. | |
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message | Despite the fact that Foston lost another game let’s not kid ourselves this team is going nowhere and Girardi’s influence (the positive one) is not showing. | |
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message |
This offense has no shame at this point they are full of spin but nothing to show for despite the captain’s definition of stumbling. If your lineup is consistently hitting the ball to where the gloves are positioned and not finding the open spots on the field then your team doesn’t know how to frigging hit don’t sugar coat it otherwise despite your charisma you come across as stupid as when Alex tips his hat to any rookie that hand cuffs him at any given time.
That’s the time when you stink and need to do something about it fast collectively because otherwise you make your GM and your owners and fans look immensely stupid and there is a limit as to the amount of crap fans can take specially after showing the world you’re all about MONEY.
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message |
Get your act together and stop playing with our intelligence. SOON.
And let’s stop talking about our pitchers not delivering. If you had any decency with the money you make you’ll be matching the opposition offensive output plus one run (it should be higher but we’ll take one run) easily and after the way Hank went after those powerful bats we couldn’t do without the team is making him look like an idiot and something needs to be done to start playing at least better than your current daddies: the former doormats: Tampa Bay and Madden with all those old tricks they perfected at Anaheim and he happily took to Tampa with him.

Girardi seems to be more worried about his own show than the team’s fate (I’m saying it seems). Is Girardi pleased with the way he’s been outsmarted by some of the opposing managers lately? I would be.
The team is beginning to stink big time and something needs to be done pronto. Stop losing it you’re far too concentrated on the forest and overlooking the real issues of your own ultra expensive tree. You seem to be dedicating far more time to Michael Kay than your players . . . . at least that’s the perception from here.

Maybe Foston snapping out of it will force a rude awakening on the Yankees. “I’m not worried about Cano I know he’ll come out of it” simply won’t do. We know that Giambi is a fraud and made you look terrible, no question about that. And he’ll the easy way out at first chance Oh my knees, my plantar you name it I got it he’s a loser that trick about him playing better when on first hasn’t worked same with Abreu losing all those balls when approaching the warning track or Betemint learning how to play third on the fly.
And Scot Patterson surely would have done a better job that some of those guys with Major League experience, it’s all hindsight but you deserve it this time . . . . . . no more buddy passes.

And things won’t improve once Rodriguez comes back they’ll simply send a rookie pitcher to get him out . . . . they always do and Alex will tip his hat to the guy and case closed. Forget about Alex; work with this lineup and start manufacturing lots of runs whatever Alex may give you will just be the icing on the cake if you get the team to start playing like responsible professional players . . . . as they are they are simply “getting handsomely paid to do something we love” what a croak. Not true? Go ahead and proves us wrong.

A fine game by Moose inching ever so cool and with a steady hand towards the 260 W and the funny thing is that the ability was there all along but better late than never and now the Moose knows all he has to do is stay the course and JUST LIKE THAT: we have two 6 game winners but let’s not get ahead of ourselves and start thinking two 20 game winners? Maybe not but then again why not . . . . . . . just follow your heart guys . . . . . we’ll go along and will waste no time jumping onto the Moose bandwagon (we fans are known to be shameless).
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message |
Again fine game Moose and what about Giambi’s D? Great plays on a night when those plays were eclipsed by that highlight double play by Jeter and Cano on a night when Cano went 4 for 4. So it seems that baseball history has always been right: ten times out of ten if you score one more run than your opponent you get the win. Sounds funny but nothing could be more true and simple.
As long as we agree on that it doesn’t matter who’s hurt and who’s not because there is a collective commitment to play for the win and reach that goal by whatever means necessary: scoring tons of runs, score early and often or a come from behind victory or winning by that one run. On a night when pitching and the Defense were great the offense score the two runs they needed to win and stopped the Rays cold when they tried to even the score. It felt good to watch that game to the point that when Ohlendorf seemed a bit shaky some of us didn’t think he was going to lose the game not on this night!
And as Cano so clearly stated it: it’s all about winning series and we still have lots of games to play.

IT GETS BETTER: Foston lost AGAIN.
Let’s even this series and THEN let’s gain some ground by winning every series going forward one game at a time. The Tampa Bay pitcher threw a good game but we don’t care that’s for the Rays’ fans to digest we only care about our record and our chances.

So what gives? Why are we again being brainwashed by the media into giving away our future to have the honor of paying Santana a slew of money with no guarantees whatsoever that he’ll continue to shine or even improve? All Boston has to do is counter with Sabathia who has Santana’s number. Sabathia won’t work for us because he’s afraid of Ortiz and Manny, his daddies. Playing Damon in CF won’t do; and he can’t handle the booing, what are we going to do then? This would be trade has disaster written all over it.
No guarantees whatsoever about the Bomber "young guns". Will they continue to "shine and improve"? We already have seen the results with Hughes and Kennedy. Passing on the best pitcher in baseball was beyond stupid. The Mets thank you!

SABATHIA MY BUTT . . . . . . . . . TESTING . . . . . YOU DIND'T TAKE CARE OF MY ACE . . . . . . . . . TESTING . . . . . . . YOU CARE MORE ABOUT YOUR SHOW THAN MY YANKS . . . . . . . . TESTING THE MOOSE IS WELL ON HIS WAY TO COOPERSTOWN . . . . . AND FOR THAT HE OWES NOBODY NOTHING HE DID IT ALL BY HIMSELF . . . . AND THE MUCH MALIGNED BULLPEN. NOW WE MOVE TOWARDS WIN 265 ONE PITCH AT A TIME ONE INNING AT A TIME RELENTLESSLY BECAUSE IT HELPS THE TEAM TOO. BEFORE YOU KNOW WE'LL BE THERE. DAMON: WE NEED TO WIN "NOW" YES YOU AND YOUR BUDDY GIAMBI. YOU NEED TO WIN EVERY TIME YOU GO OUT THERE AND SO FAR SO GOOD I STILLTHINK YOU'RE CAPABLE OF BETTER THINGS. YOU DIDN'T KNOW THAT? RIGHT? I DID. NICE CAMPAIGN FOR MOOSE, WELL DESERVED IN MY VIEW SPECIALLY NOW THAT I SEE THE TRUE LEADER IN HIM. TEAM'S ACOMMPLISHEMENTS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HIS OR JUST ABOUT THE SAME NO PROBLEMS FROM WHERE I SIT. THIS YEAR THE TWO GO HAND IN HAND WE MAY LOSE OUR ACE BUT WE GOT THE MOOSE SAME DIFFERENCE THE 20 + GAME WINNER WE DESERVE. HANG IN THERE MOOSE AND STAY HEALTHY, WE'RE PROUD OF YOU AND AS DAMON WOULD SAY: "OF YOUR CAREER IN THE AL EAST DIVISION" I WAS TOUCHED BY THE WAY THE MOOSE, ANDY AND THE OTHER PITCHERS CAME DEFENDING WANG'S BACK. "CLASSY HURLERS" IF YOU ASK ME. MAYBE SOMEONE CAN WORK ON THE MENTAL ASPECT OF IGAWA UNTILSOMEONE LIKE FREDDY GARCIA IS ON BOARD WILLING AND READY TO HELP.

HAVE NO FEAR.
FEAR NOTHING . . . . . BUT FEAR ITSELF.
ONE THING WE WON'T DO (I HOPE) IS TO TRADE PRECIOUS PROSPECTS FOR A BASEBALL PINHATA LIKE CC SABATHIA THE SAME FAT TOAD THE SUCS USED FOR BP TWO YEARS IN A ROW.

WHATEVER HAPPENED TO SANTANA? I THOUGHT THE METS WOULD BE IN IN FIRST PLACE WELL AWAY FROM THE REST OF THE LEAGUE BY NOW . . . . REALLY.
AND THERE IS NO PROOF THAT THE YANKEES WON'T BE IN THE SAME POSITION (WITH SANTANA) THEY ARE NOW 4 GAMES OVER .500 IT TAKES A TEAM!!!! MY BOYS. A TRUE TEAM EFFORT. LET'S NOT ACT SUPID NOW THAT POSADA IS BACK. WE STILL NEED MOELLER. |
