Very "uneducated".   What is this, the "Bruce4UnReal" blog?

Bruce4Real

I’m still holding my breath on the names of sux players yet to appear of the Mitchell report.

You mean to tell me that Curt REALLY was able to withstand the pain from an incredibly sore ligament crudely stapled to his ankle on the eve of a mighty important game in 2004?

There is not an ounce of fat in the bodies of Varitek, Ortiz, Manny, Papelbone, Beckett, Millard (former sux player) or Lowell and that’s due to incredibly hard work? They are perfectly tuned machines with no outside help?

And when Pedroia swings for the fences with that sickly swing of his and he connects the ball magically travels? We all know Gagne doesn’t count he was just a hired hand for the remainder of the 2007 season.

All these sharp investigators could come up with was MO VAUGHN?

Bruce4Real

So the original plan was, in case the sux were facing the Yankees in the ALCS, just to leak Pettitte’s name an hour before a crucial game just like they did with Cleveland?

Didn’t we predict that . . . . the moment Hon G. Mitchell was named to head that investigation?

We said at that time that all politicians are dirty and they never change their ways, so the sux now have an extra weapon against the Yankees in their quest for a second title in 3 years: they would conveniently drop or leak a name prior to a key game in the ALCS to gain an unfair advantage over the Yankees and whoever wins the ALCS will win the WS. And second there won’t be any sux player mentioned on the final report. We were right on both counts we were wrong only about the team cheated out of a participation in the World Series.

Anybody still wants to talk about leveling the playing field?

How about just leveling the opponent?

Bruce4Real

Since most tabloids and other more serious publications are praising this report as a historic white paper on the subject of steroids and other performance enhancement drugs use (and abuse) I will continue to wait with added trust in the system knowing that an honest man is capable to producing an honest piece of work. The only question remains: Where are those frigging sux players tbn?

“There is no evidence of bias . . . on this report because there isn’t any” according to Mitchell and we are supposed to take him at face value?

Doesn’t that remind you of: “let me make this perfectly clear . . .I’m not a crook” or “It all depends on what your definition of IS is”?

Bruce4Real

Now comes the fun part because when Clemens and Pettitte names were briefly mentioned by a tabloid about more than 6 months ago Clemens rushed to threaten the tabloid involved saying “certain persons better be absolutely sure about what they print because otherwise those persons better be ready to defend their actions in court”.

Hey is that why the rocket needed all those extra millions?  I’m going to take him at his word and wait for that lawsuit to materialize.

So does that mean he won’t be the new spokesperson for those commercials: Honey can you hear me now?

Bruce4Real

Rumor has it Clemens started taking these substances after the 2000 World Series when he almost injured Piazza.

See he did it to protect all batters he faced.

The cream sort of steady his hand and the clear made him see the strike zone you guessed it more “clear”.

I wonder what his position be on his sons staying away from that crap. My guess is if he hasn’t seen the light by now Mrs. Clemens should beat the crap out of him just like she reacted on that commercial.

Bruce4Real

If you normally peruse the Foston tabloids you might have seen some very prominently placed articles on how optimistic the sux were about resigning Brendan Donnelly, they were saying that the operations he underwent practically gave him a brand new arm and it was just a matter of when he would be receiving an offer and contract to sign with the sux not IF.

Then a bit after midnight the sux announced Donnelly was not going to be tendered a contract the very same date the report came out only 12 hours earlier when the sux tendered contracts to other players they were not so hot on they denied Donnelly that privilege. The sux claim there is no way they would have known about Donnelly’s name being on that report. Why because they say so? Just like Mitchell says there was no bias in his report because it just wasn’t?
Bruce4Real

So was Tejada almost given away to the astros in the same whimsical manner? No connection to the report whatsoever? This is beginning to stink more than the bullet ricocheting over and over in Dallas many years ago only to arrive in pristine form to the spot where she was found. The sux will deny and continue to deny this fact until it becomes the truth if we let them.

I don’t know what the whole stink about this report is. The facts in some cases may be undeniable but the massaging of the facts and the favoritism showed towards the sux is also undeniable which makes this report and the investigation almost as tainted as the players involved.

You can bet your bottom dollar Theo knew what was contained in that report long before the deadline to sign Donnelly arrived. Unless you fall for the idea that the sux are a bunch of innocent boy scouts run by another bunch of boy scouts. Yeah right. If they were really smart they would have signed Donnelly just to fool everybody. Bad move Theo.

Even Curt knew what the story was going to be well ahead of time. That’s his karma he doesn’t know when to act smart or stupid. As Francona has implied in the past: It’s imbedded in his makeup.

Bruce4Real

Something needs to be said for Giambi.

Vilified and scorned by newspapers and fans alike, he came out clean (almost) he was rightly booed and harassed for his part on this farce but as he said on his last public comments he was sorry for what he did and that MLB and everybody else should just say they were sorry and move on.

For this he was threaten by Bud and forced to fess up to Mitchell in what was a choreographed confession more like an afterthought. But give him credit; on that point he was on the money and if Bud and the players union have learned something then they should all acknowledge their part in this sad chapter and say they are sorry too.

And once Mitchell gives us the names of the Foston players that were really involved (we’re saying everybody is going to be honest) then we can move on.
Bruce4Real

In a lighter vein the joke is also on the tabloids.

I’ve probably forgotten how many times Lupica implied that Clemens physique had changed the older he grew but it seems that he didn’t have the guts to print all that was fit to print and always stop short of that. Now was he smart or not so smart and maybe a bit afraid (in the legal sense that is) so don’t just blame the players and owners and GM’s and the players’ union. The guilt is so vastly spread.

For instance nobody to my knowledge has really questioned the fact that no current Foston players are in that list. What are the statistical chances of that being a mere occurrence? You’re the geniuses you tell me.
Bruce4Real

Almost every tabloid sportswriter stated just over a month ago that those 4 WS tittles and the 12 post season appearances were solely the act of a great manager managing the team that he was handed. We can see the genius of Torre in every one of those banners hanging high up on the stadium sky.

Question: Was he on drugs too? Because he did it all by himself, right? Now let’s see how fast all those tabloids keep their distance from the future hall of fame manager.

Believe me they never moved so fast. If something went around he must have known right? Take your time. You wrote the articles and the headlines, you must have done your research your due diligence right?

Personally I don’t think he knew that much period but I’m just pushing the envelope to show the audacity of those assertions. “You lose Torre you got nothing” “How are you going to get back to the playoffs?” “Hank and Yankees will be sorry”.

Bruce4Real

Clemens owes us an explanation because he said he was going to tell us what the Boss said to him that convinced him he had to come back to help the Yankees win another WS title, he just couldn’t say no.

I wonder what the mantra was although I may have a faint idea.

Bruce4Real

This Mitchell’s report troubles me not because the Yankees are well represented but because so many players from other teams the sux among them (you should know that by now) are not there.

I haven’t had time to check the name of a player who never wanted to play for the Yankees: Juan Gone and everybody whispered his name out loud when the subject became steroids use. Some of the Mets players have been rumored for years especially after Pedro joined the team and one individual suspected of being a provider of the substance was banned from the clubhouse despite the fact the guy had been very close to Pedro and Tejada. BUT all this is pure hearsay with no legal validity and therefore no more or better that just rumors.

But that’s what also troubles me this so called wonderful study of the state of affairs among ML players is based on hearsay mostly and the evidence is heavily laden on the one guy that used to sell the stuff out of the Mets clubhouse which in this case is just a matter of Geography not a sign that things were very wrong with the Mets when it came to the subject of steroids and I really mean that.

The guy could have been working in the Yankees clubhouse or the squeaky clean sux for that matter. You go to jail or become a canary. It’s not even a choice.

Bruce4Real

Again on the subject of the squeaky clean sux I was asking a friend of mine a, Princeton graduate, who can tell you how you can travel to the sun without turning into vapor (travel by night he says) or why it’s almost possible to calculate when light travels through the void and may or may not change its speed, or he can tell you the type of calculations needed to find parallel universes and he is not well off by any standards (much less compared to what some idiots like shaft make playing professional baseball).

This guy eats Mensa guys for breakfast and I asked him: What are the chances of Mitchell doing a great job as the Mensa laden tabloids of NY claim he did and come up empty handed when it came to the pink sux? He replied “you know the answer well but I will tell you if the sux don’t have any current steroids or HGH user in their roster then we’re probably the only planet in the whole known universe that is inhabited by humans (not for long according to Gore)”. And I take my friend’s word over Mitchell the patrician (that's what Marshall Lupica calls him) any day of the week and thrice on weekends.
Bruce4Real

I have been reading the Northern Ireland peace treaty over and over as Lupica and other honorable sportswriters (nowadays when they write about Mitchell they all go by the same prefix) suggested oh and the man of the hour himself:  “judge me by my work”.

So like I was saying I read and searched high and low and zoomed in and out backwards and forward and came up with zilch. Nowhere does it say anything about baseball players and their use of performance enhancing substances.

Neither does say anything about the standard used in this type of “investigation” where some careers are ruined while others (that nice red baseball uniform again comes to mind) are well preserved and protected. Preponderance of evidence? Not even on the same Galaxy.

I was touched by the class showed by Mitchell: “I recommend nothing happens to those players named on this report” . . .  very classy just like they used to do in the Soviet Union every time someone gave names to the KGB: “but please treat them well” no problem replied Boris “you know me . . . .  I give you my word”.
Bruce4Real

So going forward how is Bud going to circumvent that union position that their players cannot take a blood test since they are known to be afraid of needles (unless they inject themselves or by their trainers)?

And so far HGH can only be detected through a blood test and even that’s a maybe.

He says the time has come! I like it when they say that. But he knows as well as you and I that the attention span of a tabloid sporswriter is shorter than that of an Akita.

The man knows his job. The stadiums are filling to capacity again and the squeaky clean sux are ready to dominate again in 2008 they will probably wear halos this time around.

Sooner or later we’ll know the truth about how the sux did it because Curt has to shoot his mouth one way or another and when that happens we’ll say: I’ve told you so like we so often had these past few years.
Bruce4Real

Does anybody remember Jose (el gusanito de la Florida)? He keeps shooting his mouth left and right and he feels revindicated because all the results point to him being right when he said “steroids usage is rampant in MLB” what he doesn’t say is that he advocated for the free use of steroids all across the board that was the message he was trying to convey. He rat on his former colleagues because he was running out of money to fill up those expensive machines he used to drive now he acts like if his original intent was to save the game.

It is also strange that he indirectly defends Clemens and I think I know why: he wants no part of a lawsuit from Clemens even if none is forthcoming. Which brings us to the next and last comment.

Bruce4Real

That’s about the third time this lowlife throws the name of Arod in the open trying to link Arod to the cheaters and sheriff Lupica is getting antsy.

Knowing that Canseco is afraid of Clemens I think Arod should call this dog’s bluff and suit the hell out of him with a battery of dream lawyers (you are going to let Bonds be better represented than you?) and tell this guy to put up or shut up for good. Unless there are reasons why he should fear Jose.

Whether you do it or not the tabloids don’t need a good reason to come after you. Innuendo is good enough reason in their code of ethics. You make a ton of money you’re on their cross hairs.

Suit the hell out of the dirt bag and shut him once and for all. Don’t tell me your money is tied to some risky investments at this time. Think big think like the powerhouse you already are and Jose would love to be. You have nothing to prove; the rings will come (sooner than later by gravity thanks to the Yankee organization).

Use this gusanito as an example that you won’t take crap from ANYBODY anymore and don’t go using ambulance chasers. Trust me you’ll feel good afterwards. It’ll be money well spent.

Bruce4Real

Hey Lupica, don’t kid yourself. You could have done a much better job than Mitchell. And a lot more impartial too, I know.

Don’t be so star struck by Mitchell; politicians are always surrounded by brilliant staffers who never get the credit they deserve.

Bruce4Real

Finally I get to call LUPICA for what he really is a biased fool, a hypocrite.

He’s coming hard after Pettitte because Pettitte like everybody else across the US and in all sports does: answer according to what their lawyers advise them to do. This tabloid pencil pusher who told us that the Mitchell report was so far reaching in its scope, the answer to what all of baseball had been pleading for and that whoever was mentioned on that reported was forever tainted. Why? Because he says so. Lupica who?

NONSENSE. Mitchell himself said so. Yankees baseball players and others whose names are so mentioned practically fell on his lap, he didn’t go after all teams and all players he says: “I know there are many more players out there whose names are not on the report”, that’s why we don’t see any sux players of importance on that report; it doesn’t mean they weren’t or they aren’t on the juice. Lupica very often accuses the President of the U.S. of wreaking havoc with the Constitution of the U.S. (he may be right he may be wrong) but now himself a simple tabloid fool wants to adjudicate himself the power (that we readers may give him or take away from him) to judge and convict anybody according to his whim on his kangaroo court.

Grow up Lupica you intellectual dwarf. You’re not even .001 the man Andy is (do they teach basic math on those tabloid schools?).
