Let’s not forget that Clemens thought the world of Georgy. He called him the “best catcher in the Majors.” We know he can’t call a game for shiit. Why was Clemens so in love with Georgy? Are there any more surprises from this “honest” man who has damaged many young pitchers careers?
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message | Going back to the days when the jawless flat footed catcher was putting pressure on the Yankees to “show him the money” I can’t believe all the statements he made: “they didn’t show me any respect, now I want to get what I’m really worth” “I know what I bring to the team” “Let them try to get someone else who can do a better job” “and I don’t know if I would like to play for somebody else other than Torre, maybe not” “Yeah I’d probably like signing with the Dodgers why not” “I might even play for the Mets they have a good team” “I have many years left in me and I’m as healthy as anybody can be.” “I know what I can do” “I don’t need to prove anything” | |

Now it’s a different tune: “I’ll do whatever the team wants me to do (as long as I’m catching and batting behind you know who).” Whatever happened to: “I’m a catcher, I’m no first baseman or DH” “we already have a bunch of people in that position” “I feel fine my arm is fine” Every time he was asked how come you’re not playing behind the plate then? He’ll say the same crap: “I know I’m fine you have to ASK HIM”

Then he wept and told the tabloids “I’m sorry (about all the money he got I guess) but there are some issues with my arm” this took place after he re-assured Girardi and Cashman that he was in perfect health which was the reason why they got rid of Moeller. Cashman looked a bit stupid trying to get Moeller back after he cleared waivers and he again said “he knew he was now okay and Cashman almost let Moeller go again after that jerk Kay was questioning why the Yankees were carrying three catchers. Kay said the Yankees were the only team he knew who were doing that . . . . . DO YOUR HOMEWORK STUPID . . . . The Yankees are not the only team doing that.

This “honest” catcher is credited by the tabloids with winning 4 WS titles with the Yanks. Do some research and you’ll be surprised at how pivotal he was in all those 4 WS titles he’s credited for. Girardi should know better . . . . . he was there. This honest man must have tons of Cashman pictures . . . . . . There is no other explanation. I’m ready to believe anything other than: “I’ll do whatever the team wants me to do.”

Dear Joba (soon to be Mr. Chamberlain for the entire baseball world): You got the right idea . . . . . . . however stay on the same page with Molina. Don’t be predictable in the way you get the first strike on these guys other than that trust your stuff; say good bye to the butterflies after the first pitch enjoy the view because starting tonight it will be your domain for years to come and don’t forget the swagger we have been waiting for years my friend and you’re finally arrived. They are a very good team . . . . But you are the real deal. Take your time stay focused and calm and enjoy the game . . . . . you won’t be alone, you know that. You’ll do your job and the pen will do theirs . . . . . . As simple as that. The team sounds confident . . . . . . We have a very good feeling about this tilt.

To the lesser mortals from one to nine: you’re facing Beckett and this is not the first time. Who is Beckett you asked? He was a pretty good pitcher last year but true to form he hasn’t stayed that hot. He has lost 6 games for a reason so far and if you get to him not necessarily early (but early is preferable) but when you get to him you’ll be helping your pitcher and your team. Block the fans . . . . . . you have done it before . . . . . the same fans . . . . . . . the same sad chants . . . . nothing new. You are going there for a reason and the goal is always the same.

Execution, discipline and timely hitting gets the job done . . . . one inning at a time. The sooner you get to their relievers the better, break Beckett’s concentration and rhythm whenever possible and as often as possible, buy your pitcher as much time as possible. And fight every at bat don’t just stand there and admire the guys work for GS. If you don’t know what I mean ask Pettitte he’ll tell you how it’s done. We are the hottest team in Baseball, we’re chasing them and closing in fast so the pressure is on them and on them only.

It’s a funny looking stadium a parody of a stadium and those playing there for the first time should get a crash course from Damon on how to play the green wall and the lines. Other than that it’s just another stadium. When you win the game ACT like if you’ve done it before. Silence that crowd for the rest of the series. Eyes on the ball at all times, don’t rush any throws and play safe.

After the ball hit the bat in the seventh inning plate umpire Marty Foster came out and warned Chamberlain and both benches. Youkilis was seen telling Foster, "It was right at my -- -- head!" Yeah Yeah Yeah Because your frigging head is always in the way; so close to the baseball path. The ball gets loose where are you going to go? Think about it. Joba pitched in a similar fashion to Lowell in the 4th inning and although I still remember Lowell hurting Mientkiewicz I wouldn’t like that bastard Lowell getting hurt either (maybe I’m becoming a softy) Lowell quickly got out of the way. That’s more difficult for Youk due to the way he stands at the plate and I have said some time ago that Youk stance at the plate is going to be blamed when (not if) he gets hurt because he won’t have a chance to get out of the way but he’s blackmailing the power pitchers he plays against out there and one day (not necessarily Joba) someone will hurt him and it’s going to be his fault. I’ve been right on the money before and I hate to see Youk get hurt I think he’s a great overall player but it will happen UNLESS he adapts a slightly different approach.

There are a lot of power pitchers that just rear and shoot fastballs upwards of 95 mph and one day there won’t be any margin for error so stop blaming Joba he doesn’t have it in him NO WAY. Joba is nowhere near the guy Pedro was by far and nobody got really hurt then but Youk is at fault his stance is a faulty one. The odds of him getting hit in the head by an offering gone awry are greater than most hitters so don’t say nobody knew it was going to happen. This is the third time I write on the subject and I think Youk is a fine player but I have to warn everybody . . . . . . An accident waiting to happen. It won’t matter how much he beaches to the nearest umpire . . . . . . . you stand so close to the flame . . . . . . . you’ll get burned . . . . . . . . Guaranteed.

Joba should continue to trust his mechanics and ability and improve his control . . . . . you’re not going to stop trying to be successful just because a jerk is trying to derail your career. Shake that off . . . . . the game and the team are far greater than this idiot’s ego. In that sense he’s not that important. You’re not trying to throw at him unlike the way they have ACTUALLY hit our Jeter and Alex many times and only once did Alex complain about it and those ugly memories are still with us but that’s the nature of the game. If that was Bob Gibson would he have stopped trying to pitch the way he did? FAT CHANCE YOUK.

Great game by the way. The team is hot and Joba is getting hotter. Moose, Pettitte and Joba next will be Wang and whoever Cashman gets us and just like that we’re back in business. Great team win. Let’s play safe and let’s keep on keeping on.

So what’s bothering you Kyle? That was a bang bang play and the only person in the whole stadium who knew the ball might go out was Sexon. You went with your gut feeling and so did Girardi. Shake it off . . . . . . things will be great again next time. We know that.

But I will say this about last night’s game: I’m glad Pettitte was the competitor we are familiar with and he reached Win number 12 still in July and we know he’s a better pitcher in the second half so that makes us feel good for him and for us. I’m glad that nothing happened to Giambi on that terrible throw from the material fool when Jed Lowrie was racing to first UNLIKE that bastard Lowell Lowrie ran clear of Giambi who almost felt in a very vulnerable position while trying to save you know who’s terrible throw. I’m truly happy nothing happened to Giambi he could have been seriously hurt so we owe Lowrie one. The material fool took one for the team and I’m glad it wasn’t anything serious other than painful. We’ll talk about that later on.

The pressure remains on the sux and I don’t think they are handling it very well. No time to feel sorry for them now . . . . . . We are a team on a mission and we cannot deviate from our immediate goals. Let’s stay focused on baseball and on baseball only leave the headlines to the tabloids. All the good stuff applies: Discipline at the plate, get on base, advance the runners, bring them home don’t try to be a hero just take what they give you and find some green spot or the seats between the lines (in such situations I’m not partial to extra bases, the pedestrian single would do). Oh and eyes on the ball at all times. Play safe out there and LET’S KEEP ON KEEPING ON.

The trades should not be over yet. After seeing the material stupid failing miserably against Lester with the bases loaded and the chance to close the gap and take the lead wasted away in the fifth inning when this idiot was more interested in showing he was a study in futility, vanity and inefficiency and prove he can walk and chew gum at the same time afterwards after almost sending Giambi to certain injury the previous night this dawned on me: The material stupid can’t hit in the clutch even if his life depended on it! There were others that failed but only one is making $28 Mil per. We might win in the future in spite of him but we won’t win because of him!! Period.

Trade him to Foston for Manny at a loss since people keep saying money is not an issue when it comes to the Yankees. Or sign Bonds and use Bonds instead of stupid when stupid comes to the plate with the bases loaded that might even be cheaper . . . . . . . anything but solve this riddle once and for all. Why wait for years and years to have the HR King before more crap goes to this guy’s head and fails in the attempt when you can have the reigning King himself and get to the World Series and win it this time in one shot? Stupid instead of getting ready for this series (technically speaking) he goes to his hair stylist and gets his highlights done and presto he’s ready. How shallow can that be? He did the same thing before the previous two playoffs. What a colossal and vain ignorant. |
