And spare us the spin. If you’re going to borrow someone else’s quotes do it right otherwise you’re an idiot (we already know you have no formal education so stop acting and talking like another idiot: Travolta). The phrase is: “we need to stay in the present (not the moment) and not worry about the future (for your information the reason is the future doesn’t exist as in “yet” ).” You’re the only one that used to worry about past failures so that was directed to you NOT the entire team. You’ve been measured and you’ve been found wanted so continue to be the team’s piñata maybe that might bring some common sense (the simplest form of intelligence) to your uneventful self.

I wrote to let him go to Foston or somewhere else after he opted-out we didn’t need him (I was not the only one of course). I thought he learned his lesson after all the talk and after bending and kissing Hank’s ring and telling us how proud he was to wear the uniform. This guy is not the hitter Manny is and will never be it’s all grandstanding nothing but narcissism all this talk about his family and values is horse ….. If you are going to carry this guy in the roster is going to cost a lot more money to ever win anything unless he’s pinch hit for at the crucial time. And for that you’re going to need another expensive bat to be on standby duty. Just like we were winning without Damon and Posada we were winning without Posada and stupid before . . . . . despite what the tabloids might have told you. After getting drilled I don’t think he’ll ever hit well again in Foston. He can’t hit, he can’t fight either let him take all the retaliatory hits for the team he has a masochistic trait in him anyway.

Oh . . . . . . about the team even on that inning when we had Lester against the ropes IT WAS ACTUALLY Lester who got HIMSELF in that predicament because the team was not being disciplined at the plate even in that instance as stupid and others clearly showed it (the X man just got here so he gets a free pass he’ll hit, he’s done it before for the Mets and the Pirates) so Lester got himself out of trouble without any damage, the Yanks found another Daddy besides Oliver Perez and Halladay. Knowing how astute Girardi is any future games against any of those Pitchers should be considered a Loss. Terrible game and don’t give me this crap about Lester being a great pitcher because that would mean you’ll do worse against him in the future and that’s manure. And next time can someone please actually hit that freak (squealing Youk) between the shoulder blades or in the ribs with the fastball once and for all? He’s actually begging for it and it’s time we let him have it he thinks he has the right to hover over 90 % of the plate, let’s prove him wrong . . . . . just old fashion baseball . . . . . . the kind Youk likes.

According to one of the local tabloids Mussina said about last night’s loss: “I don't believe we're going to let it snowball," "We didn't play very well (Sunday) night in Boston and we didn't play very well tonight. We're not going to win eight in a row all the time, but we want to keep the losing streaks as short as we can." "You could say there's a silver lining, but when the other two teams in front of you lose, you think about the opportunity that you didn't take advantage of," Mussina said. "You can look at it as a silver lining or as a lost opportunity." Since I like Mussina’s thoughts better than mine I’ll keep those to myself.

Let’s turn the page and win this series TOO. That’s what matters after all. This is our home for GS. Forget about “Aura and Mystique” they might not live here anymore but . . . . . . Where are your colors? Where is your pride? Do we have to test your DNA? I hope not.

And . . . . . . . . . . say anything: “we stunk”, “I had a terrible day”, “my bad”, “I let the team down”, “If I had to do it again I’ll try something different” . . . . . . . . ANYTHING . . . . . . . . Just don’t go GA-GA on the pitcher that just had fun humiliating you . . . . . . That’s for losers . . . . . . That’s the only time when I wish Billy was still around . . . . . . . . MANAGING YOU the only way he knew. “He was throwing darts” . . . . . give me a frigging break. We should borrow Varitek for a few days to help us house break these guys.
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message | When you do that . . . . . . you embarrass your pitcher (do you think he went out there thinking “Okay today I’m going to lose this frigging game” ) you embarrass the three Stoo.... Hank, Hal and Brian who got us that pitcher and you embarrass us all fans because we root for you as a team we root for the uniform . . . . . . and the uniform lost last night . . . . . . AGAIN. | |

We have no other choice but to choose the silver lining approach . . . . . the Sux kept on loosing so do we . . . . . way to go Sux. The material fool got drilled again . . . . . . That crap is unacceptable . . . . . . It is one thing for us fans to try to make fun of a situation like that . . . . . . . . It’s a different thing for a frigging opposing pitcher to take care of whatever type of business he was taking care of. We cannot retaliate and risk losing another game but that should not go unpunished let’s file that one and take care of things at a later date when we are by then either a sure bet to make the post season or absolutely and mathematically (there goes another buzzword) out of this year’s race. The O’s should pay for this act in an equal amount of pain. Some of their best hitters are nice guys but one of them is going to go down.

Whether it’s fair or not we got another break from the Sux and we should take advantage of it. This was a game that left us with mixed feelings about the team. We were unable to reach out and hurt this guy (from a last place frigging team no less on a consecutive game. How do you explain that? Other than we don’t seem to have what it takes to surge ahead and overtake both the Sux and the Rays) and at times we looked lifeless or lost. The relief corps made it worse including Mariano who tried to throw Moeller under the bus like if he didn’t know the game was being called from the dugout.
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message | The good part was that when it came to the bottom of the ninth inning the batters did well I don’t care if we couldn’t tie or win the game that was a fine at bat from everybody including the material fool with the exception of Cano who didn’t have it this time but they went down fighting and since the Sux lost again that was good enough for me . . . . . we’re still within sight of the leaders with more than fifty games to go. That really was good and felt good. | |

When Damon first got on base and Jeter was battling Sherrill like if his life depended on it I was thinking: “ we are going to load the bases and then we’ll walk or single a run in and then someone the material fool or Giambi will hit a Grand Slam . . Game over” and it almost happened but there is no shame in losing after such an awesome effort. Some will say we just came up short again . . . . . I say the intensity and focus were there at the end and that’s what has been missing when we lose. Better luck today and play safe.

I haven’t paid that much attention to the trades because I thought Cashman is not going to mess up this time but after going over Washburn stats and profile this is beginning to have a certain stench adhered to it. Something like Pavano’s or Wright’s type of stench. We are trying to get a guy who spots a 98 WON 95 LOST career record? Why? Because he’s a lefty? With that type of record? Let’s put it this way: A lefty with that type of record? This is not (by far) a strikeout hurler. I’m not a cardiologist so I don’t care about his heart (he won’t feel lost in NY! Yeah Yeah just like Pavano and Wright! ). Just get us a guy with a much better record than that. And the Mariners are trying to get cute with us with the complicity of the tabloids . . . . . Screw them all . . . . . . We can easily do better than that. The only exception would be if he’s going to be solely a fifth guy and even then he’s a very expensive fifth at that. And his agent . . . . . enough said. This is another deal better left undone.

How do I know the Angels won’t stand a chance this year despite having a good record against the Yankees in post season but a deplorable one against the Sux? Teixeira just told the whole world. He said: "Hopefully, I can just go over there and be one more piece of the puzzle,” before leaving Atlanta. He didn’t say: “Hopefully, I can just go over there and be the last piece of the puzzle." Or the “key piece of the puzzle” and that was his inner self speaking.

Teixeira didn’t win with Texas or with the Braves so he truly knows what he’s talking about. That should be a good piece of news for the Sux . . . . . IF they make it past the Yankees. Hello! We’re still in the rearview mirror.
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message | Why is it that under Girardi we keep losing against the same teams we had problems with under Torre? Does anybody know out there? | |

He pitched two no-hit innings . . . . . . . . . next time he’ll do it with a real baseball.

Brian Cashman must live totally immersed in a parallel Universe, there is no other explanation. It’s amazing how his hand is easily influenced by the media. How weak can that be?

We got a hall of fame catcher . . . . . . you may exhale now. I see a steroids cheater who was automatically deflated (literally) by the steroids report and Canseco’s allegations and whose diet timing was nothing short of spectacular. I haven’t given Giambi a break and there is no reason why I should give the shrunken pudge one. An obvious cheater doesn’t deserve one.
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message | I don’t see this trade as a one sided one . . . . . . well . . . . . . . at least not in our favor. You’re screwing the balance (they play as a unit, an excellent balanced one) of the very important bridge to Mariano of which Farnsworth was essential just to add another bat because Molina is a great defensive catcher who doesn’t blow his own horn, an exercise in humility(you’re getting just the opposite here), who committed the grave sin of not hitting higher than his career average when the ultra expensive offense went to sleep make that hibernate in summer no less. |
