I don’t care about him trying to pick off someone in first with his hands tied behind his back; that crap doesn’t win games and sometimes it doesn’t even stops momentum. Thanks Cashman you continue to rush judgment even on these so called no brainers, sorry but your record suc/ks. All you got us was another hotdog.
Bruce4Real

My point is that if Pudge thinks he’s the second coming a view not shared by his former coach (I don’t buy any of the related spin) it would serve him well knowing his place on this team and that’s not of a superstar neither behind the plate nor at the plate.

For us fans you can keep all the Pudges you want overblown or otherwise (“I decided it was time to lose some weight”  Yeah in a horse’s  . . . . .  ) I’d rather stick with our inexperienced Joba.  Everything else is bullshiit.

Bruce4Real

I would like for someone to explain why Joba shook off so many signs from this a$$hole Pudge? Did Joba sort of feel that this hot dog was trying to call his (the steroids user’s game not Joba) game and he felt there was something wrong with that but didn’t want to look weak or give that impression since this is a man’s sport being played out in Texas?

Unfortunately we’ll never know because Joba being the great athlete and person that he is will never tell us.  But in my heart of hearts I know this a$$hole called an awful game for Joba under the Texas heat (I travel to Texas and the heat is about the only thing I don’t like in the Lone Star State) and the team will now pay for the consequences of his actions. I know Leyland is happy with his end of the Win-Win deal that brought Kyle to the Tigers. To top that off he nearly drilled Joba in the fourth inning and Joba came out in the fifth inning.  Just a coincidence? Think again.

Do you still think that was a no brainer Cash? Do you really?

You and your manager are certified jerks Cashman you really are!

Again you were had. The nation is laughing his head off.

Like I said before   . . . . .  have it your way. Better still go ahead and tell this a$$hole Pudge to win you a WS title this year. Show us a no brainer. Show us what it means to have another future Hall of Famer, another “whole package” in the roster Girardi  . . . .   to see if we care.
Bruce4Real

The only writer free from sin is Davidoff.  He said: Pudge for Farnsworth is a good deal.  But WHY??

All others you know what you can do with your well thought out comments.

Bruce4Real

Tell me Hank would have been easier and less costly far less costly getting rid of that joke of a hitting coach you have when I’ve told you to or to pay for the lack of timely hitting consequences now that the lack of offense is decimating our pitching corps? Now I know what this guy Kevin Long meant when he said he liked our hitters going to the plate thinking damage.  I would have never imagined he meant damage to our pitchers. We are so lucky to have him!

Time to jettison Girardi too   . . . . . .    We’re out of it man (at the beginning of the year I thought you were serious about this patience crap but now I know different)  . . . . .  all we got from this guy is his impersonation of Torre’s style and his lack of imagination   . . . .   Oh and that half-full cup philosophy too.

Bruce4Real

It goes without saying that we hope and pray Joba the person first then the player is doing a lot better than he might think at this time. Going out of your way to give it all for your team is nothing to feel bad about. What matters is that you’re doing okay. Time to put things in the right perspective and to think what’s better for Joba first. Remember you’re not alone.

You're young   . . . . .   there will be other seasons. Joba we wish you the best.

Bruce4Real

I hope Ponson doesn’t put any undue pressure on him. He just needs to trust his stuff and concentrate on every pitch without overdoing it.

No need to worry about any particular batter just let your defense behind you do their job; just give us a good effort and take your time.

Our hitters had usually done well when you pitch   . . . . .  they’ll surely do the same this time. Have a good outing.

Bruce4Real

Jeff Karstens just threw another great game for the Pirates this time against another first place team in the NL the Diamondbacks.

That’s just informational I’m not implying anything this time because we can’t complain about the X-Man or Marte despite that losing grand slam the other day, those things happen.

Bruce4Real

Ponson threw another good game and gave us another valiant effort in Texas.  Good for Sydney.

Pudge took a hard hit at the plate trying to make an out and we hope (I know what I’ve said before but he’s human and he’s a Yankee now) he’ll be ok soonest. Great play by the way by both Bobby and Pudge.

Bruce4Real

It seems that Joba won’t be out that long and the emphasis really isn’t on long here but we hope that Joba will be back in good to great shape as soon as possible but with the understanding that his welfare comes first the season comes second and not even a close second.

We came up with all kind of terrible scenarios in connection with Joba’s injury and thank God none of those came true.

From the heart Joba: we’re glad you’ll be ok again and probably soon   . . .   we don’t care about soon  we just care about you being ok and back at your own speed. Take good care of yourself in the meantime.

Tonight Mussina goes for another Win and the team should be ready to play well behind the Moose; this win means a lot to us let’s have his back out there and at the plate let’s be productive, disciplined and effective.

Let’s be careful out there.

Bruce4Real

Eyes on the ball at all times. Let’s catch the ball before we make that throw to first. Let’s run the bases smartly. Melky needs to be patient and disciplined at the plate go up there with a purpose no time to be hesitant, before you can steal signs and then steal second FIRST you have to get on base  . . . .   Simple math really.

Fight hard in every at bat, Mussina will do the rest.

Time for the material fool to unleash his power stop thinking too much and just make solid contact you’re about to become a joke a very expensive one, you’re about to leave Texas with some new golden sombreros.

I still don’t understand why the X-Man is not batting cleanup our regular cleaner is on emotional leave; we need an emotional rescue (maybe they should play “la Isla Bonita” when the fool comes to the plate, that might do the trick) ASAP.

Bruce4Real

On another front let’s be proactive. Is Garcia worth signing for the rest of the season so we won’t have to deal out our precious fugazzies? If the answer is yes then do it is only cash and the Yankees have plenty of that green stuff.

Stop penny pinching and do something positive for a change. The Yankee brass is becoming a joke now they even worry about money at the wrong time. We’re the experts in rehabilitating pitchers right? So let’s show we know what we’re talking about.

Theo still is laughing his head off. The nation is looking down on us thanks to you clowns.
Bruce4Real

A great collective effort. Mussina was the key player not only pitching some smart and effective innings but helping the defense with his fielding well documented ability. When the relievers took over they did a fine job. Great game.

When things didn’t go his way the Moose got out of jams when needed that was not just luck that was hard work and the strong will to lead his team to victory. Kudos Moose for a well done job.

Like we said before easy does it. Stay in the zone and things (all the other good stuff) will take care of themselves one game at a time.

Bruce4Real

If Kennedy has been paying attention to the news about Jeff Kartens he should feel good about himself. He comes from the same system that has produced pitchers like Joba and Karstens. Different styles but good pitchers just the same.

The least he should do is worry about this game in Anaheim he should enjoy it and throw strikes (not worry about throwing strikes but just do it) just like he has pitched in triple A so far.  Show his relatives why they should be proud of him playing well in southern Cal.; show them how things are done in the grand stage WHERE HE BELONGS. His team is there to guard his back. Take what the blue gives you and run with it.  Trust your stuff and throw strikes.

The material fool is long overdue so there may be some extra runs coming your way to lighten your load. The key is to keep the team in the game. Pudge needs to keep Kennedy calm during the whole game he tends to quicken the pace when he’s gets hit and that’s not conducive to victory. Take your time and be on the same page as your catcher     . . . . . . .   let your team play behind you on defense. Once you do that let the chips fall where they may.

Bruce4Real

HEY GUYS RUNS ARE NEEDED   . . . . . . .

We need a disciplined lineup in Anaheim make those pitchers work hard and get to their relievers early and keep the rallies alive and fluid. Rallies happen not because you get lucky but because you’re a very good team and know how to keep them going. The Angels have a good closer let’s keep him out of the game.

We’re still within a short distance from the divisional leaders let’s put pressure on THEM and let’s not worry about them only our record matters. Let’s play our game and be consistent, intense      . . . . .    and trust your teammates.

Bruce4Real

The Angels are a fast team ONCE they get on base   . . . . . .   keep them off the bases.

They became unraveled last time we played them let’s keep that pressure on them  . . . . .   as Damon says: “they are a very good team   . . . .    BUT so are we.”

Bruce4Real

First the bad news.

The Game The Angels seemed to be in control most of the game specially the last two thirds (although they also scored from the beginning).

The team.

The team seemed to be affected by Kennedy inability to stay with those Angels hitters and they actually looked like an inferior team with so much hesitant body language while trying to fend this Angel's attack (instead of just playing the game the way they know how) and that’s never a good sign.

Bruce4Real

The defense. Gets a solid C. they could have done better specially against a team like the Angels that’s not going to help you recover in time to fight back and even the score let alone win the game.

That play between Melky and Damon wasn’t that pretty and it was crucial in making Kennedy look lost from the beginning he deserved a better defense up to that point. Two lousy runs to start the inning. No frigging good no sir.

The offense. That was almost jump started by the material fool who for once just made solid contact and got the HR that he always gets in such situations. He stunk the rest of the way but that’s an improvement and a correction is forthcoming so we should see him getting his share of hits and HR’s since he doesn’t get any other type of extra bases.

I still don’t understand why the X-Man is not batting cleanup particularly during this tough series. Who’s going to complain? The Tabloids?  Like I always say SCREW THEM . . . . That’s my philosophy.
