Kennedy

Where do we start? He picked up where he left off when we said he was triple A material, since he has dominated triple A he must be in between material because a Major Leaguer he’s not yet.  I agree that due to the team dire situation he should get a second chance and let’s remember that this is no longer the crown jewels time   . . . . . .   we’re beyond that, this is giving this  guy a second chance to see if he reacts in time to save his a$$ and his career with the Yanks. He still can’t tell the trees from the forest and he’s still delusional about his true worth.  Saying that he thought it wasn’t such a bad outing and that he has already forgotten it is fine. Actually believing that is a sign of some serious shiit.

An effective pitcher devoid of power walks on thin ice when he can’t locate his fastball or throw the rest of his breaking stuff for strikes. When he doesn’t even have a breaking stuff and lacks all the things that make ML hitters sit on a particular pitch or location HE’S DEAD MEAT and that’s what happened to Kennedy no different angles and locations everything (essentially) on the same horizontal plane he became a minor pitcher going against men and the boy lost and will lose every time.

Bruce4Real

He was told to throw strikes and he continues to nibble at the corners which granted he being a rookie he won't get some key calls from the blues but that was expected    . . . . . .     that’s how you get behind the hitters and once this shrew Angels knew what to expect it became just another batting practice.

Someone has to get to him and make him realize this is no joke; he needs to trust all his stuff and throw it for strikes but not up over the plate at the same speed. It just doesn’t work like that.

Next time have a game plan you don’t have the experience to adjust on the fly.  No way no how. First establish yourself then you can adjust, improve all the things you may want specially if you want to succeed as a Yankee pitcher.  You’re getting a second chance   . . . . . . .   Make the most of it.

Bruce4Real

Brunney.

Brunney had a terrible outing they started hitting him like if it was BP and that put the game out of hand the only good thing is he seems to be healthy but that’s about it.

Is this plan B to replace Kyle Cashman?  Wishful thinking.

The material fool  and Giambi.

They need to do a lot better because they are making these tons of money and they got all that money to be consistent, productive and to be clutch and none of that is happening. You know the drill  . . . . start hitting those balls inside and outside the park and don’t go down swinging like idiots anybody who gets that kind of money from the Yankees shouldn’t look that stupid and lost at the plate.

Bruce4Real

Melky.

It’s getting late a little earlier here, be disciplined at the plate or go for the first pitch whatever works but do it sooner the team can't wait for you any longer. You stink because you don’t seem to care. Prove us wrong.

Let's look at it this way: the sooner you can start hitting well the sooner you can start hot dogging which seems to keep you going. We'll even bring the mustard.

Bruce4Real

The Angels.

They have a great record and not long ago the tabloids were saying the Angels needed someone like Manny or Texeira to help the offense.

This team seems to be overstaffed with good bats so don’t believe whatever the tabloids throw at you. If anything this great team in August have also played a bunch of teams that don’t resemble the teams in the AL East Division and they just started beating the sux consistently so we should not even worry about them (those great stats may be deceiving) unless we get really closer to the top of the wild card at the end of the season in which case we’ll face them on a short series that is nothing but a crapshoot and by them we might get lucky behind some solid pitching by then and hitters like X-Nady, Bobby, Cano and even Melky might make a difference in our favor. About the other guns? Don’t waste your breath on them; it hasn’t happened in the previous playoffs and it’s not about to start happening this year.

Bruce4Real

Now the good News

Foston keeps stumbling and running into bumps and we’re not taking advantage of those mistakes.  Despite us playing pitiful baseball we’re not far behind the leaders. Ponson seems to get better each game despite the intense dislike from the media     . . . . . .   Just ignore their barking.

Kennedy must realize this is his only chance and apply everything he’s been told and become our next Aaron Small only better. The fool and the Covina bandit may start hitting the ball more consistently or start batting behind the X-Man (I don’t know why is taking Girardi so long to make that unavoidable change in the lineup).

Help has to be on the way during August and September unless Cashman continues to nickel and dime us to death.

Bruce4Real

And so it goes.

Kennedy and Hughes was Cashman’s idea and the jury is no longer out on that one despite his spin. So show us the love and cut the crap move more aggressively on that front and stop saying you’ll solve those pitching problems from within the organization. IT’S NOT HAPPENING AND THIS IS AUGUST ALREADY. Have we targeted another pitcher other than Garcia? What’s keeping you from doing your job?  Those are valid questions.

Bruce4Real

So another Southern California native goes up tonight we hope he enjoys winning the game more than being tickled to death playing in his beloved Angels’ stadium.
Bruce4Real

How about that bungled relief of Dan Giese gem?  Oh I forgot that was that WIN-WIN trade Cashman gave us?  “We have plenty of arms that could easily replace Farnsworth.”

You’re a jerk Cashman   . . . . .   you really are. You always find ways to screw up. The team’s failure to reach the WS every year is just a reflection of your efforts to get them there. How about delegating some of those tasks genius? Your record is embarrassing to say the least.
Bruce4Real

It wasn’t Farnsworth but the way the unit had meshed   . . . . .   you don’t mess with that stupid.

It would have been a lot easier to trade for a good catcher almost at any price and trade one of those gems in the ROUGH you seem to have plenty of. But you had to go and do a no brainer. This deal makes the signing of Pavano look like a masterpiece. There was not much time left and that (the relief corps) was about the only thing that was working for us like clockwork.

Now let’s deal with the aftershocks and make no mistake this was not the fault of VERAS or RAMIREZ or ROBERTSON. No this has that imbecile Cashman’s fingerprints and palm prints all over the deed.

Bruce4Real

And you Girardi what do you think?

You think it's fun watching that crap? No. What a silly question."

Oh but you said is not every day you get a chance to trade for an all star catcher, a future hall of famer  . . . . .    THE WHOLE PACKAGE.

When Lupica starts writing about you being the right person to manage the Yankees as he wrote just about now you know you are in deep shiit. In Yankee lore that’s the kiss of death.

Bruce4Real

How many games have we won because of the shrunken Pudge? Better still how many games do we have left? Get the picture Cashman?

It’s not your money it’s the Yankees money and the fans will pay a ton to watch those games at the new stadium you got us this $28 Mil. Clutchless bat now get the rest of the ensemble, the money is there and the money will be there.

Stop penny pinching and do your job. I’m not saying go waste more money (you did a lot of wasting many times over already).

Bruce4Real

Last night’s game was a good game for Dan Giese which was a pleasant surprise. I have stated a few weeks ago that I thought Giese was no starter, not at this level anyway but he pitched well against a very good team. It is a shame that an unbelievable idiotic move by Cashman ruined his outing which should have been a great victory over a fine team and a fine starter.

The material fool and Giambi did well as it was expected of them. The offense did the job and IF this was June or May I’d be saying just turn the page but we ran out of pages this is now and there is no time left. If we panic we make it worse.

The majority of this team has been there before so it’s up to the leaders to do their job and convert the newcomers. Good things do happen on this roster when players apply themselves and stayed focused for as long as it takes.

Bruce4Real

If we are going to still make a run and we aren’t planning to trade for a CF then Melky becomes an important player starting tonight since he can make a difference as long as he wants to really contribute at the plate and that requires dedication and patience.
Bruce4Real

Pettitte goes up today and it’s rumored he may be playing with an injured or sore arm so Andy take your time up there; it’s time for the offense to keep the opposing pitcher occupied enough to give you a rest between innings and after all you have done for the team it’s the least the players can do. They have to match those guys hit by hit and DP for DP and play  errless baseball.

Andy   . . . . .    just trust your stuff and make it work.

Have a great game.

Bruce4Real

That was tough loss but in all fairness and despite Andy’s awesome effort it would have been almost unfair if the Angels had lost that game.  Give credit where credit is due.  The only thing is next time Joba gets excited after a strikeout or a win put a sock on it before you dare to pick on him   . . . .   Not after seeing K-Rod made a fool of himself by having an org&sm right on the mound for merely surviving the ninth. The Yankee hitters better not forget that ninth final scene. You must be gutless and shameless if you do.

Except for the fact that the Yankees left almost the entire lineup on third standing like an orphan waiting for someone to bring them home the team almost did well.

Bruce4Real

Betemint blew the final play he surely choked and chose to go to first instead of going for the ground ball he should know by now Mo is a fine athlete but he’s just one more player in the long list of chokers when the game is on the line including Wells and Giambi in that WS against the Fish, the entire team in 2004 lead by that gutless Sheffield against the Sux and all those lifeless fly balls that dropped for hits when we lost all those series from 2001 to 2007 the list is long and distinguished.

Besides Betemint has no feelings for this team he’s just hired gun more so than others and those things cannot be foreseen. But also Cano said he didn't see the ball off the bat, but asked if they had a chance to make the play, he added: "I would say yes."

Cano didn’t see the ball off the bat?  Oh I got it he was busy pulling some seeds to throw into his mouth (you know how important that is in Baseball) and if he didn’t see the ball off the bat  AT THAT CRUCIAL STAGE OF THE GAME what the hell was he doing playing second base in the first place? It’s not like he was playing deep in CF. Give us a break Cano    . . . . .  or a refund.

Bruce4Real

The team is already perceived as a losing team by the umpires and that’s why most of the calls go the way of the Angels, Sux, Birds and even the Rays.  That’s how far we have fallen from grace.
Bruce4Real

The panic has begun to set in and unless they regain their swagger and confidence they are going to look terrible and lost very soon and that’s when Girardi comes in and earns the big bucks it’s his job to keep the team truly confident in their ability to come back and win at least the wild card.

Bruce4Real

There were two different teams wrestling in Anaheim: the local team giving all they got not wanting to come in second and the visiting team playing trying not to lose or fearful of making a costly mistake and that’s why they lost.  Think about it for a moment    . . . . . .    if the Yankees would have won yesterday they would be three out seven in the last two series between these two teams instead they lost two out of seven and were swept on the last series  . . . .    A world of difference and Saturday’s results carried over yesterday’s game as well.

As A-rod said when he hit that HR overtaking Mantle (the day Bobby Murcer passed away)   . . . .  Those are not random events (?????).
