“He was O.K. in spring training, but he wasn’t the Wang of old, so to speak,” Dave Eiland said.

How does this guy know that?

For the record he wasn’t here when the Wang of old was such.  He was in the minors he came here when the Yankees fired Guidry to repair their image and brought this guy to guide Hughes, Kennedy and Joba along. So he’s talking non-sense. He’s just trying to deflect the fans attention away from Cashman the person who’s to blame for the current Wang debacle and although I won’t go into the gaudy details I will insist he's solely to blame and those who need to know the facts had already read same on my previous postings as far back as over a year ago and those who never got to read them     . . . . . .  Sorry. The only person who barely paid some lip service to Wang (among those who matter that is) was Hank when he called him “our ace” last year.

So the Yankees have a decision to make about Wang and to them I say good luck. Start earning the big bucks you make.

Bruce4Real

Now it’s clear the only person who really knew something or cared about Wang was Guidry and I for one attacked Guidry when Wang was throwing TOO strong at times and his ball wasn’t sinking for that I apologize    . . . . . . . .   Fair is fair.

Guidry even tried to correct that by having Wang come back with less days rest during the last playoffs the Yanks were involved in.  It didn’t work but he tried and I didn’t join the bunch of tabloid writers who attacked Guidry via Torre at that time, I thought I knew better and maybe I did.

It seems evident that the new stadium sits right in the middle of the JET STREAM and you have a problem since it’s also evident the Yankee pitchers are now aware of it and are not trusting their stuff or trying to adjust on the fly and that never or seldom works.
Bruce4Real

If the Yankees were managed by Theo I bet you he had by now a bunch of people from MIT and Princeton working on this problem whereas “our people” are very hard trying to either please Posada repainting the background or having a whole bunch of “minds” working on the right amount of spin.

I will address Posada’s request for more playing time later on meantime I will just say he’s one of the fockers who is to partially blame for Wang’s demise due to his paranoia induced by men who get on base and that’s one of the reasons some of our best pitchers always ask for a catcher other than Posada and that’s had coincided with all those teams that have never won much in October but you don’t get to hear that because he’s a close buddy of our exemplary captain. Unfortunately for Jeter I don’t fall for that shiit.

Posada wanted a lot of RE$$PECT and he got it and at those prices and salaries WE also want some respect back.

Bruce4Real

We know there isn’t much the players can do about the new stadium that has become a hitters park but the opponents are in the same situation hopefully that will become a incentive for our players maybe now they will apply themselves to try even harder when playing on the road.

Until a solution is found we will have to deal with a bunch of high scoring games let’s hope we’ll win most of those games.

Meantime they just have to adjust like everybody else so good luck and Godspeed.

14 RUNS IN THE TOP OF THE SECOND INNING......THIS IS GREAT......THE NEW STADIUM IS ONLY THREE GAMES INTO IT'S "CAREER" AND THERE ARE ALREADY MLB RECORDS SET THERE......THIS YANKMEOFF TEAM IS A JOKE.  THEY'RE "LUCKY" TO BE 7-6.  THE ONLY THING THAT IS AS MUCH AS A JOKE AS THIS TEAM IS IT'S FANS!   Yell

"I watched what happened here the first three days," Pavano said, "and my focus was not to let the lefties in their lineup get to any pitches inside.

Some sportswriters are implying that the Yankees might now regret not re-signing Pavano.

I know they are mistaken       . . . . . . .    a game doesn’t a season make. And we already had enough of the idle.

Bruce4Real

There are two ways to look at this phenomena in right field (talk about euphemisms) one is to say that our pitchers have a problem to deal with     . . . . .     the other is to remember that Aroids, Posada, Matsui. Damon, Cano, Melki, Swisher and Mark I’m sure hit lots of fly balls in that direction.

And it’s also right to say that there is still a long season ahead of us and regardless of how embarrassing some of the scores on the losing games have been (the opening game though still is too tough to stomach) they are merely just some items in the lost column and when we win it all they will be one of those conveniently forgotten items on the story of how this team went from bust to glory.

Bruce4Real

Rumors to the effect that Aroids is trying to become a switch hitter in a hurry to take advantage of right field are unsubstantiated as of this moment.

In all the talk about this new found launch pad in right fielde Pettitte’s performances have been lost.  Not really      . . . . . . .   those of us who know what Andy is made of and who are happy he returned to the team (could you imagine life without Andy at this time and particularly Cashman’s life at this point and time?  I don’t think he would be having an easy life) so Cashman more than anybody should be happy he somewhat listened to us diehard fans and kept the channels with Andy’s agents open.  So all Andy has quietly done is get the job done and turning into the rock that will help anchor this rotation together with those solid performances by A.J.  Sabathia has yet to deliver but there is no question in our minds he will specially after seeing the type of player and teammate he is. C.C. will be okay just like Andy will get better after each outing.

Last year Andy was all by himself trying to do too much all year therefore the results and stats in 2008. This year it will be different we know that.

Thanks for everything Andy. You are our resident warrior.

Talking about Mark Teixeira’s intelligence and intellect. What a ton of fresh air coming from his direction. A great move definitively; he makes the Yanks better overall.

He’ll be happy here and so us fans.

Bruce4Real

Some in the media are worried about C.C. not playing as advertised.  They overlook the fact that the same was true last season; Sabathia started poorly only to finish the season in great fashion. I see no reason to doubt his abilities or his mental strength which makes him not only a great pitcher but a fierce competitor. Bring it up C.C.     . . . . . .  At your convenience.
Bruce4Real

The team is going to Foston with Joba penciled as one of the starters which makes the first game automatically electric if we remember previous similar encounters.

Bruce4Real

If you think about it for a moment Joba you’ll come to the realization that the only team who benefited from SOMEONE leaking to the media that infamous video at the time of your booking when you blurted those lines that offended some people in NY the only possible answer is the SUX. They are known for descending to curb heights to attain any form of unfair advantage in the game.

My advice is first get furious about it then decide that is much better to get even and exact every ounce of revenge on the field by pitching completely focused and with cool efficiency. They will try to break your concentration but you can show them you’re a much better professional that they give you credit for.

Go get them tiger   . . . . . . .   this is the year we stare at fate and SHE blinks first.

And the same goes for Teixeira   . . . . . .   time to make them pay for their unkind words and lies   . . . .  . . . .  . . .    with cool efficiency.

BUUUUUCK       FOSTON.

Bruce4Real

Those in the pen who are dying to go after the SUX and show them how it gets done  raise your hands?

Great stuff!!!!

GO GET THEM!!!!!!!

BUUUUUUCK       FOSTON.

Bruce4Real

Did I forget to mention:          BUUUUUUCK       FOSTON?

Bruce4Real

Hey Papy cut the crap. When was the last time you told your pitchers: Hey guys let’s stop throwing at Jeter and Aroids?  Exactly.

So don’t do us any favors this time. The last time we beat you at Fenway was when the Moose got his 20th win which sort of pushed him past the HOF doors.  This team will pick up where the 2008 team left off.

So tell Youk not to expect some FAT balls down the middle where he can fatten his stats the Sux batters are going down and so is your team.

Just in case I forgot: Buck Foston.

Bruce4Real

Yeah I forgot that I read that piece in the Tribune where Papy was telling Beckett to go easy on Abreu   . . . . . . . .       NOT.
Bruce4Real

Tale of two catchers.

With his team way behind VARITEK (the one who has his pitchers back 24/7) came to the plate and delivered a grand slam last night, not last year, not last decade but when needed. That’s the one playing for his team at a huge discount.

Sixth inning today with the game tied Swisher is at second base Posada (Yeah the one that wants more playing time and wastes no time to throw ANY pitcher under the bus, the same one who betrays his pitchers when there is a man on base) strikes out like if he doesn’t have a care in the world and why should he? Girardi worries when this ingrate talks to the press after all this bastard is making a ton of money and he acts like if he deserves more money than he actually got and he’s a close friend of the teacher’s pet.  The one who claims everybody else but him is hallucinating thinking than the new Yankee Stadium is a hitter’s park while hitting more HR’s than he had in his entire life.

Who would you rather have on your team? Let me let you in on a secret: Lupica that known Yankees hater loves Posada to death.

Bruce4Real

I know that there are two teams in this series who have a very good roster yet only one team seems to play trying to win the game in every at bat and with every pitch thrown.

So far Girardi seems to have pushed the wrong buttons in this series.  The only thing I agree on with him is that the season is still young.  Someone else might say that is like saying these games are of no importance only to regret it at the end of the season. That might have some validity too.
