Selena found some players “who remember now but they couldn’t quite explain what they saw but it was highly unusual to the point that it caught their attention” “other players might not have know because it was highly sensitive information and the domain of the chosen few (I guess one or two in every team) which would involve some of the best and the brightest SS in baseball but Aroids remain the sole instigator and cheater and if I follow selena twisted reasoning that would involve interleague games too. Yet no former player nor executive in the Rangers team and I’m sure in the Yankees team as well remembers anything.

These players must have been extremely intelligent since it would take a rocket scientist to follow these signs which would require a great deal of intelligence and eye to hand coordination and we know Aroids is not that intelligent (sorry Aroids but I’m trying to be fair here) and yet one of the most intelligent players in the game hands down spent a few years with Aroids at that time in Texas: Mark Teixeira and HE DOESN’T REMEMBER ANYTHING of the sort and he was also a teammate with access to the players’ gossip and still he doesn’t remember hearing or seeing anything. And frigging selena has said that experts might not even be able to judge from watching the game tapes (which means she tried and couldn’t get her brain to click and add two and two) but she says “those who were there (and spoke to her on condition of anonymity I’m sure) and saw what was happening knew something was happening BECAUSE it happened over a long time (2 to 3 years)???? It happened over a long time yet she wasn’t able to clearly establish the patterns she faithfully searched while she knew what she was looking for.

Who are we going to believe Teixeira who is easily one of the players with the most integrity in the game or selena? Who has steadily refused to provide the names (she or her handler verducci) of the remaining 103 player who failed that roids test which was supposed to be a confidential run to determine the need for establishing mandatory tests in MLB . . . . . . . . . . . that’s all it was just an innocent run and Mitchell , Verducci and Roberts turned it into a vast conspiracy to cheat and now they want Bud Sellig to give his stamp of approval to this sham? Sellig is not stupid he went out of his way to ensure the stars including Canseco, Sosa and McGwire had no problems trying to test the boundaries of their bodies to fill the stadiums and now the new BUD . . . . . . . . . . he’s fighting the use of PED’s with all his might. So which BUD’s for you? Verducci may have overestimated himself . . . . . . . . . Sellig might be stupid BUT HE”S NOT THAT STUPID.

Literally. | |

Andy Pettitte got up this morning and promised himself he was going to lose this game to the Angels regardless; Posada on the other hand got up and said we are going to win this game even if we have to grind the whole way. Posada was right and Pettitte almost threw away a game that rightfully belonged in the Yankees W column.

Pettitte got overly anxious and confused and stubborn when he found the bases loaded and Aybar at third base and Abreu at the plate. He got into that situation when he completely overlooked the overall picture and his sole obsession became Aybar at third. He practically lost the game right there despite the fact that pn a previous inning in a similar situation a very visibly concerned Girardi visited the mound during and told Pettitte in no uncertain terms to cut the crap and concentrate on the batter at the plate. I was thinking if Andy loses this game and we don’t make it to the playoffs by a single game it’s going to be hard to defend this thoughtless act. The least Andy should have done while at the same time being aware of the runner at third was to consider the fact that his teammates were under heavy downpour and ANY pitcher would have traded a run of two for the third out. That was the last thing on his mind let’s hope he’s still willing to learn new tricks what he did was unacceptable. Girardi by the bay seemed to age a few years during those minutes.

Posada on the other hand had a great day both at the plate and behind it (fair is fair) last night he couldn’t do no wrong, neither Pena, Cano nor Melki those guys’ game was on. Behind the plate Posada was very alert making sure nobody was threading on Pettitte specially when Aybar reached third base and he kept eyeballing Aybar all the time . . . . . . . WAY TO GO JORGE that’s how it’s done.
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message | Melancon came to relieve Pettitte and didn’t think too much before throwing a beach ball over the plate that make the Angels very happy but when Howard slid at home plate on a throw from the OF Melancon was all over Howard in a display of athleticism and guts that was great to see: excellent reflexes and cojones he could have hurt himself but he never thought twice about rushing to the plate and challenge Howard inertia got him too far past the plate but he tried oh man he tried and that was good to see specially when in the end we won thanks to a team effort that ended with a Posada well placed hit. It was a great come from behind win and we haven’t had one of those too recently or too often and that will always be a good sign. In this game we scored early and then we came from behind when we had to. It doesn’t get any better. | |

We are hoping Swisher recovers soon he needs to take care of that elbow otherwise we’ll be taking a few steps back.

The more he’s focused at the start (not by putting extra pressure on himself but merely by clearing the mind and be all business in every at bat) the better he’ll help the team.

Leave all that garbage being thrown your way where it belongs in the garbage disposal your business is to concentrate on baseball and baseball only. Be polite but don’t let the media disrupt your thought process they are going to be in for blood but you don’t have to give it to them deflate their brusque manners. Don’t be like the big unit be more like Craig Nettles used to be nobody screwed around with Nettles yet he was respected sometimes feared people had no choice stop trying to please everybody you got your money . . . . . it’s yours and the only persons you have to be grateful to is Hank and the fans who are paying for it. And the fans are on your side . . . . . as long as you help our team that is . . . . . . . . but you are coming back from an operation and we’re not vultures the guys in the media are but they get to see the games for free we don’t and we pay for your salaries and that’s all you need to know.

Your teammates, even your new teammates, your manager, Cashman and the coaches they all have your back, Mattingly said a couple of months ago that enough was enough and I for once agree with him. I was going to continue to pest you for admitting to the roids but this new crap by girlie verducci and that invertebrate selena was too much to bear. Enough is enough screw the tabloids with a personal agenda you are a Yankee and we are behind you. We know who tries to be fair and who isn’t, we are not in frigging Cleveland or Pittsburgh. This is New York for G.S.

Get ready for your games and when that happens don’t try to do too much the team is getting better each day and the big guns C.C. and Tex are still silent but when they wake up we are going to have some team and it won’t matter who’s on our side or who is a foe: we’ll control our own destiny. Be kind to the rookies they held the fort while you were out and they are really something except for Albaladejo but Girardi seems to like him. Finally Tex is going to see some pitches and that can only be great. Let’s do it one game at a time.

According to Damon "We definitely felt we should've helped out CC a bit more." The team seems to be a bit lethargic after having come from behind in the previous game against the Angels. We have lost only one game to them but it didn’t look nice since the losing pitcher was C.C. who’s still off to a slow start but feels confident about his chances and the team’s Jeter agrees with that assessment. "It's kind of tough to win games when basically you have three hits going into the ninth inning," said the captain "We have to find ways to get it done.” We couldn’t agree more.

Hughes is up next and the media is already saying that this will be a referendum on Cashman since he let Santana go to the Mets in order to keep Hughes and Kennedy (they always forget to mention Melky). That’s non-sense what’s done is done, now we have Sabathia and Burnett and the season is still very young and we have a lot of games to play. Hughes should take the mound and concentrate on his game and trust his pitches don’t let anybody including your battery partner disrupt your concentration and try to keep your team in the game. The stuff and the poise you showed against Detroit was no accident . . . . . . . so relax and trust your stuff and be aggressive nobody is going to fault you for that. If you hit a rough spot call your catcher over, talk it over take your time and regain your composure those are tools at your disposal, forget about the cameras all that matters is that you’re doing your best to help your team. The Santana affair is over. That was then this is now. Guys let’s take it one game at a time. Eyes on the ball at all times, play safe and enjoy the game.
| Bruce4RealPosts: 1681Location: Join Date: November 29, 2007 11:46 PMSend Message | Teixeira is beginning to worry about not connecting with this swing more often and the boo birds not being able to find Arod on the field are beginning to serenade Tex accordingly. He says: “I’ve been reviewing video, looking at my swings, and my swings feel good. I've just got to swing at maybe a few better pitches and hope to get a few of those balls I hit hard to drop in." I think that might part of the problem Tex is hoping some of those balls would drop for hits. That would indicate to me he’s not swinging with authority or that he’s trying too hard and we know from past experience with our best hitters when they are down on their luck that this is not a good recipe to get out of the funk. Just clear the mind and stop thinking or worrying while the ball is about to be released instead just try to see the ball better and let it travel farther, don’t commit too early and then hit the ball the other way. The ball will start dropping in for hits or extra bases all you need to do is make contact let the pitcher do the work for you. Either way things will get better, we know that. |
