The idea behind our complain was not to embarrass the coaching staff or the hitters for the sake of making them feel terrible the idea was to call Girardi’s attention (and his staff) to the fact that in the playoffs first round the last couple of times we have been soundly eliminated (do you see Torre still around?  ) by the opposing pitchers throwing strikes to our batsmen and they got away with it because there was no plan B; granted Long (probably) wasn’t here then but that’s exactly what happened. In a short series we lost because we couldn’t adjust on the fly to first the Tigers throwing strikes and the next year the same thing happened against Cleveland.

Arod and Wang were blamed Arod for not being clutch and Wang for choking and giving away runs like crazy and not being able to throw his signature pitch for strikes.

Bruce4Real

So I’m not that worried about our team not making the playoffs I sort of feel in my bones that this team will make it to the postseason while treating every single team with respect and meeting out every challenge on the field.

But if we are not ready to deal with whatever opposing managers are going to throw at us during the ALDS and ALCS we’re doomed because we are a team that doesn’t prepare for the challenge but merely reacts that’s one of the reasons why we always lost to the Angels; Scioscia was always a step ahead of us and Madoon with the Rays the same last year; this year that honor belongs to the sux because until you produce that stat chart that says that we actually won those 8 straight games  I’m going to insist we did lose them.

Bruce4Real

So they got our number but that point becomes moot if we outsmart them and outplay them either during the ALDS or the ALCS. I have always said that one of the things Girardi had going for him was the fact that (a Northwestern graduate) he was smart. But just like Torre he seems to react instead of being proactive when dealing with the imponderables of the game we are always a step behind.

And that report simply says that in those games started by unfamiliar pitchers against the Yankees the Yankees won that number of games the report doesn’t explain how we won those games and I’m sure it had to do with the fact that those teams had a terrible bullpen and the fact that this team has made it a habit to come from behind and win a great number of games sort of like winning the Belmont coming from behind but we still were owned by those pitchers during those innings they pitched against us UNTIL they were relieved. During the playoffs great bullpens USUALLY follow good to great starting pitching    . . . . . . .    therein lies the quagmire (in our very own case).

Bruce4Real

Now it what matters is the fact that we won those games then what are we worrying about? We might continue to look like shiit while swinging high and low left and right it doesn’t matter because we are going to win a great percentage of those games but why then it seems that a great number of times Jeter, Arod and Damon keep saying after every loss: “yeah the kid had good stuff, he threw strikes, we couldn’t decipher him, we never saw him before, give him credit, he showed a lot of guts out there” that happened a lot more times than your so called report indicates.

Bruce4Real

Anyway if we don’t have a problem (or so you say) then let’s not worry about it why tell our batters you have to study these new young guys, be selective? Why fix what it ain’t broken? Right?  Game on.

We are still looking at the big picture and still is paying off. We cut one game from the leading sux and we have a ton of games to go still.

Have a great game (next game) and a great series in Dade county.

Check out this loser Papelbon (that’s French for “toilet paper”,      . . . . .     used toilet paper).

This ho/mo thinks we are tickled pink because he wants to come to NY when foston discards him as the useless tool he is.

In your dreams a$$hole.

"I don't want to go (expletive) play for the Yankees," he said. "I've been on a team for the past five years that's been in first place more than any other (expletive) team otherwise. Why would I want to leave?"

"For me, I want to go to a place where I'm happy," he said. "For me, the only thing that's important is A manager that's going to protect me, and I know that (I have that) here." “Besides Theo told me he loves me when I danced for him” “I just want to be loved. Call me crazy but Theo brings out the woman in me.”

Bruce4Real

I don’t want to go play for the expletive Yankees! Listen to this fa/g/got. We don’t want your expletive a$$ here either   . . . . . . .   a$$hole.

You’ve got to be hands down the ugliest drag queen in the whole suc nation.

Die in foston (at your convenience) you fuc&king freak, meantime we’ll send you a picture of the new palatial digs of the Yankees (2009 World Series Champions) the urinals are more spacious and luxurious than your frigging clubhouse and they smell better too.

The poster child for the silence of the lambs  is going down BIG TIME.

We are going to be on you like white on rice a$$hole (I beg your pardon I meant to say major A$$HOLE).

Bruce4Real

“It’s totally unacceptable,” Damon said. “It’s amazing. There’ve been a lot of plays that I’ve missed this year. I’m definitely a much better defender than that. Lately, I’ve been brutal.”

Yeah you don’t exactly win games by playing to lose. What matters is that A.J. is beginning to be more effective again. Some games will be lost that’s part of baseball.

Go for the tilt today you still are a better team than what we saw last night.

Let’s take it to the fish today this is an important game, the game at hand.

Let’s execute and stay focused, we play for nine innings guys.

Bruce4Real

Some of these tabloids’ writers need to grow brains.

“Posada was great”, “Posada can catch after all” and Girardi; “Posada is my catcher.”

What nobody is saying is the fact that we are playing NL teams in NL ballparks for the next few days and we cannot afford to let some games get out of hand because the sux keep putting pressure on our team and where does that leave us without the DH? Exactly, we are forced to like Posada and even pretend he’s great. We know otherwise and we are not going to attack this guy when he’s got us by the balls. The team comes first and to his credit he’s been flapping about saying he’s willing to learn new tricks   . . . . . .    All the better.

That’s the general idea to turn him into a valuable asset WITHOUT THE FRIGGING ATITUDE. He’s a decent bat with no speed on the bases but right now there is no alternative and we’re stuck with him thanks to Hank. It is what it is.

Bruce4Real

I have also mentioned a few days ago when I went after his a$$ that he had a “weak arm” to be honest (contrary to what some tabloids believe) I don’t think that’s a big problem I think he worries too much about that issue because when it comes to it the runner on first base that’s the pitcher’s responsibility that’s the reason why he’s there in the first place and you don’t help your pitcher by acting so nervously with that runner(s) on    . . . . . . .     what you need to do is not panic and forget about those runners stealing your signs if you had done your homework the chances are minimal.

The fact that he has worried too much in the past has produced terrible results and I’m sure that controlling those nerves could have helped a great deal.
Bruce4Real

He lost most of those runners anyway. A runner steals on you    . . . . . .    Live with it and focus on the batter at hand; things will work out in the end. Clear the mind and concentrate on been in “synch. ” with your pitcher. It’s that simple.  And start being loyal to your team “on the frigging record and off the frigging record” the media is not paying your frigging salary    . . . . . . . .    The Yankees are.

End result: the man is willing to adapt and work with his pitchers (when needed) the complaining worked; so don’t tell me that’s bad for the team.

Bruce4Real

For What it’s worth I would like to thank the Mets (now that the subway series is over) for the GREAT job they did in Foston when they took 2 out of 3 from the sux at their home. If we make the post season by a game or two we know whom to thank.

We failed miserably at trying to reciprocate when we lost the series against the Phillies  and the Mets’ contribution went even farther than that (and I’m still referring to that series in Foston) they did more damage than the two wins they took from Foston and they did it on sheer guts and determination.

Now that you will be at the receiving end of some flak from the media and your front runner fans you can hold your heads high. “You did terrible against the Yankees” the media will say, “no fight, no guts, no glory” they will chant but the truth is you are still 2 and ½ games behind the faltering Phillies and you are playing with a severely depleted roster. Maybe your Division is weak but so is the division the Dodgers are in and you don’t hear Torre complaining about it. It is what it is.
Bruce4Real

If you need an antidote against the storm of criticisms and hatchet job the media will be leveling against you; just read the sport headlines the media peppered the Yankees with when we lost the first game against the Mets a couple of weeks ago up until the moment when Castillo had that fatidic failed catch on the second game.  The media reacted as bad against us but now they are riding the coattails. Don’t they always?
Bruce4Real

However bad the results were during the subway series you still have each other and some people coming from the DL soon, hang in there and thanks again for kicking some serious a$$ in Foston.

Seeing Papelbon’s face (that frigging private dancer) twisted in utter anger and sheer agony and frustration was PRICELESS.

Bruce4Real

This is the first time I can remember the Yankees not choking upon learning the sux had lost to an opponent (the Braves) while they were still playing (against the Mets). Maybe this team really has it in them.

Says the Zen master: We shall see.

Bruce4Real

Congratulations to Mariano on his 500th save and to Arod on passing Reggie on the HR list.  Kudos guys. Get a well deserved rest.
Bruce4Real

Congratulations to the U.S. National Soccer Team on placing second to the Brazilian National Team in the FIFA Federation Cup in South Africa. Needless to say that was a HUGE achievement any of those Brazilian stars makes more money that the entire U.S. team.

The American players were incredibly brave    . . . . . .    and lucky to be two goals ahead of those Brazilian stars in the first half.

The U.S. team should feel very proud of their achievement in a far away land against a true soccer juggernaut. I know we are also very proud of them     . . . . .      KUDOS guys.

Bruce4Real

Great team effort and win last night guys. The offense picked up Brunney that’s what good resilient winning teams do.

AWESOME play at third base 1-3      . . . . . . . . .    A-W-E-S-O-M-E.

I’ll take that one to go with that 2 run moon shot thank you.

Cabrera went the Melky-Way again. It seems like he always does.

Bruce4Real

Have a good night sleep Brunney you’ll get them next time.

You’re trying to be too fine you too Joba.   Chill out man and trust your stuff and don’t lose any sleep over it either.

Bruce4Real
