With the Giants signing the Phil's Aaron Roward today for a five year contract, that leaves another 'quality center fielder' off the free agent market.I am concerned that if the Yankees do get back in the mix, and try to acquire Santana. And the Twins want Milky in the trade ! Then who do we have for center field ?Cammeron from San Diego name was mentioned by the Yankees as a possible replacement. Which in looking at Cammeron's stats last year, and limited playing time due to injury. I feel we are taking a few steps backwards in Cammeron vs Milky. We just cannot afford to acquire another 'injury prone' player. As we did with Damon, and Pavano, and others. So my question to Yankee fans, is who is available to play center, if we should happen to lose Milky in a trade? A. Jones, Roward, are gone ! is there any good player left in the free agency, or on the trading block ???

A Senator, who is also a Yankee Fan !!! This manager said that he is not authorized to turn over the tapes, because he has a confidentality agreement with the Patriots. But! if he was given a Court Order to turn over the tapes to Congress, he would have to do so. This New Spy Gate development is much more severe then we know, As allot was covered up! And in any way evidence is thrown away, is a Fereral Offence. It is just a shame that as good a team as the Patriots are !!!! They still had to restore to "Cheating" to win the game over the Jet's, especially when they really did'nt have to, as they won big. The Senator i hear is also a Yankee fan Senator Mitchell did do a very good job on implementing Yankee players. But! completely stayed away from revealing the many sox steriod users. Now!!! The Patriots with there already "Tainted Record" and with the * still next to there 18-0 season, this 'New Spy Gate Development" does not look good, for the "Tainted Patriots" Or as many newspapers around the US including the New York Post, call the Patriots "The Cheaters" well! that is very true! and to boot! they got caught 'Red Handed" let's all say that Roger Clemons, can move aside . As there is a new sheriff in town!!!! And he is after "Bigger Fish to fry. Lucky for Roger, that he will not be the focus of attention, anymore....

Super Bowl XLll will go down in History as the 'Biggest Upset' in Super Bowl History. This 19th victory by the Patriots was almost assured, by almost all sportswriters, ESPN sports announcers, and most knowlegable sports people of the NFL. Except the Giant Fans !!! Giants fans filled Arizona State's 71,000 stadium in what was called almost a 'home game' "Many people dispize the Patriots for there arrogence, and there attitude of running up the score, when the game is not in doubt. So America rooted for the Giants, who became "America's Team"as Romo and the Cowboys, now need to step aside. I hope Romo, had a nice vacation in Mexico!!!! With the dedication, hard work, and committment it takes in winning the Super Bowl, Romo should take notes from Eli's 100% dedication!! that while he was basking in the sun with Jessica Simpson, on the ocean beach of south Mexico. He should have not mixed partying and his responsibilities to the Team. I hope he learns next season.
The Giants relentless defence was in Brady's face the entire game!! sacked 5 times, and was on the turf more times then in any game this year. The Patriots offensive linemen were getting a constant toung lashing by "Tom Terrific" also when some balls were dropped , he lashed out on some of those players who dropped balls. He seems to always point the finger at his teammates, except himself. Tom, as too much of a temper!! that needs to be controled. While Eli, was cool, calm and focused. Especially in the game winning last drive when he hit Plexico in the left end-zone. A play they practaced on all week long. The Giants Defensive line, man-handled the Patriots offensive line, with there strength, size, and quickness. And Brady could not stay in the pocket , without him beging chased and sacked. The Giants Defenceis what won the Super Bowl, make no mistake about it!!! And Plexico's prediction for a Giant victory, was not too far off. He backed his words. This victory goes to show, that in all sports! It is not how you start the race, or how your doing in the middle of the race. But! who 'steps up' at the finish line to "WIN THE RACE' CONGRADULATIONS AGAIN!!! TO THE BEST TEAM IN NFL FOOTBALL IN 2008 THE REDSOX ARE THE NEXT NEW YORK VICTOM'S

Sounds like one Yankee fan fears the Red Sox. Good for the Giants but how does that make the Red Sox the next New York victim? The Yankees have the highest payroll in all of sports and can't win a title. Keep dreaming Bobby.

I was dreaming the Giants won the Super Bowl!!!! so your right, i need to keep dreaming about the Yankees winning the 2008 World Series..... ha ha ha ![]() The Red Sox are New York's next victim !! Why! because i believe in as much as the Giants 11 rookies played an important role in beating the Patriots, the Yankee three starting youngsters, there bull-pen loaded with youngsters, and a few 2 year players Cano and Milky, along with Duncan, will also play important roles in bringing the World Series back to New York. Where it belongs !!!!! Torre relyed on the veterns last year. This year Girardi will rely more on the younger players. It does take money to get good players, most of the money the Yankees paid this year, was to retain there super star players. Instead of spending the money, on free agency or trade players, which is to risky. At least we know what we are getting with signing A-Rod, Posada, Rivera, Cano, Pettitte, and soon Wang, and a few others. Look at many teams in MLB? The Mets signing Santana, the Tigers, Cabarra, the large signings goes on and on...Because if you want to win, you have to pay the pricetag! to get the good proven players.

THE GIANTS SUPER BOWL VICTORY WAS NO FLUKE FEBRUARY 4TH 2008 THE GIANTS PHYSICALLY MAN-HANDLED THE MORE FINNESS PATRIOTS The New York Giants had a plan to beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl, and they stayed with there plan through-out the entir game. They knew they could play with the Patriots, after almost beating them in The season game, where the Patriots won by just three points. The Giants plan was to 'Attack Brady" to make him feel uncomfortable to pass to his recievers. The pressure they put on Brady was so intimidating on almost every play. Some of the Giants saw fear in his eyes, towards the end of the game. Especially when he was throwing over the heads on his key recievers. The Giants not only attacked Brady from the middle lineman, but also the corners. And like i mentioned in a previous post. The end offensive lineman of the Patriots were older and much slower then the younger quicker Giants. The Giants defensive secondary also hit the Partiot recievers, and tackled so hard, this also put fear in the minds of the Patriot recievers. In fact Moss was accused of some of the Patriot players, of not giving 100% in his routes, as far as using his speed and height. The Giant Offence came alike in the 4th quarter when it counted the most!! as Eli proved that he bis now a Big Time NFL Quarterback. His winning touchdown to Plexico Buress was practiced over and over again, during the week. And even on the Arizona State football field, only 20 minutes, before kick-off. I was very dissapointed in Tom Brady showing little class, and acting like a sore-loser in not even taking the time to go to Eli, and at least shake his hand to congradulate the winning QB. Also on ESPN today, they really got on Belichek

First point: Keep dreaming because if the WS Title does go back to NY, it won't be in the Bronx. Keep dreaming about the Yankmee's winning because it won't happen in your lifetime. Second point: The Yankmee's know what they're getting with Posada, Rivera and that is OLDER. As you would put it.....hahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahaahah.

Now the Yankless start the season with a Triple A starting staff. Good luck catching the Sox. Actually, they will be all out to make the wildcard. Missing out may be the way to go anyway, why have another 1st round and out flop embarrassment again.
| Number1YankeeFanPosts: 67Location: Join Date: February 5, 2008 1:07 AMSend Message | Yes! i always have been a Dreamer! The Giants dreamed they would win the Super Bowl! And after Dreaming you must have Goals! And the Yankees Goal's for this season, as Girardi sumed them up! when he was hired! "Anything short of a World Championship" is a failure. !!! Then you must have a "Plan of Action" the Yankees Finally!! are now going to practice what they been preeching since they won the 2000 WS. "To go with Youth" And this year will be there first test with forr starting pitchers who are 21 21 22 and Wang 24....Also Duncan! Will emerge as a regular starting 1st baseman, and be the power hitter the Yankees need at that position. Girardi when he won "Manager of the Year" for the Marlins in 2006, always had faith in the younger players, until they developed on the playing field. Unlike Torre, who had more faith in his vets. So yes i'm a Dreamer!!!! but my Dreams will be Reality !!!! When the Yankees are World Champions this year.....

Robert, I found another Yankee forum on Topix but I was too afraid to post there. They post as mean people on it and insults. Why does Topix allow these posters on Topix. I have a daughter who is also a huge Yankee fan and I don't want her to see these hateful posts. And it looks like there is 1 guy on there who seems to control the whole forum. Will Topix continue to let this forum stay open?Where are all the Yankee fans? I expect this to be Topix's #1 Yankee forum. I know theres good posters out there.
