Topic: What to do if you see an inappropriate comment

Michael Casey! me and jimimax agreed today to go our seperate ways! Obviously we can't post on the same forum together. There are some very good posters on that forum, that we should not get involved in any more disputes. The forum has a group of posters that get along, and i would not want to disrupt them in any way. There is no one over there that moderates others,  so i don't see any more problems, with me posting over here, and jimiyank over there.

This fued between us has gone on too long, and with the Yankee Season right around the corner, either one of us, only want to continue posting Yankee Baseball, as we both are good posters for the Yanks. Maybe we both have strong personalities that just clashed. jimimax, is a good decent man, and really both of us were influenced by a 'bad poster' which caused us to clash.

So! please keep the other forum open, as it is an extension of this forum, and when the season starts there will be just Yankee baseball posted there.

So! disreguard all the fighting posts we both posted to you. It is over! and now it is time for 'Yankee Baseball" We are both two loyal Yankee Fans, and i respect him for that....Take care. Robert 

Mr Casey  Several posters in the past has brought several inappropriate doings to you.  On the following website http://www.topix.com/forum/source/newsday  both on the Yankee and Met forum  Several posters are using proxy servers to sign on to these forums and they are creating differnent profiles and are disrupting and are violating the rules of newsday and topix.  They are also trying to get  email addresses and other personnal information on the people that they are signing in as.  Below is a subset of what is going on.  The culprits are West Coast Yankee Fan (formerly Unbiased Yankee Fan), another poster is COCO and several other posters are using the name as SD guy.  Below is a subset of what is going on as well as a reply from the West Coats Yankee Fan threating to do the same to me as well.

he is now known as unbiased charger fan and he is on the yankee forum that nyy mentioned threatening posters with cutting and pasting, making fake threads and sending it in to topix to get anyone removed that he dislikes. something must be done. as of 5/22/08 he is doing it

we have an issue on yankee talk back 4 or 5 on your forums. one person is in direct violation of topix rules by editing posts.  the original post was on page 2663, post number 53862 and the edited one where he distorted and changed my original post was #53866 page 2664. the name is momma chamberlan.

this person also claims along with a fellow poster by the name of unbiased charger fan, that you and this character momma chamberlan, are communicating.  they have edited and also sent in to topix cut and pasted quotes to get peoples profiles banned and have done that on several occaisons and admitted it in the same forum.

I doubt if newsday is involved with these 2. but, the first item is a direct violation of topix rules.
