That is their record...second place in their division but no playoffs...the system is horrible!! For some of these players, this is their last chance at playing.  Why can't Nassau do like Suffole and have any team at 500 ball or better make the playoffs??  Would there be upsets? Of course but these teams that work hard and win need to be rewarded!!

How about instead of just having a winning record, guaranteeing a spot to the top two or three teams in each conference?  That way a team is rewarded for how they fared against the teams on their schedule and it would be very rare if a team that went 10-3 in their conference did not make the playoffs.  On the other hand, I have tough time with the argument that a team that goes 7-6 in the 3rd or 4th ability based conference should go to the playoffs over a team that went 6-7 in the 1st or 2nd ability based conference.

It's almost like they have it backwards. If Suffolk's placement is based on school size, then only the teams with the very best record should make it. And if Nassau has competition based placement, that means teams in the upper-echelon divisions should be rewarded for going .500.
