Thanks i'm really bad with the names.

Is Roland Brown from Chist the king from LI?

Big is Jamal Flash WHempstead, Neal is Fishenden, Myles Prendegast, I think Phil is a sr from Glenn, Paris Parks and Pat Pitouiski (sp) are from Longwood (parks is 2011) John Adams Ward from CM was left out as was Leon Taylor from Southside and Ashanti DePass from Baldwin (inadvert) also kids that should be recruited. Of course Rod Odem, who is from Suffolk, at prep school should not be left out, he along with Harris and possibly Moore, could be major D1 recruits. Perhaps HS coaches should be working more in concert with AAU coaches to help these kids instead of ignoring them. They do exsist, and seem to have more contacts then the HS coaches at this time. Too bad a couple of teams couldn`t be put together to play fall IS8. There are scouts all over that tourny in the fall

If you throw in Elabuam (post grad) and John Brown (pg) Then there is considerable talent in the 2010 class

There is aslo a kid that goes to St Marks in MA  Melsan Basabe not sure if he lives in Queens or Hempstead but is a good talent .

Glen Cove maybe Smart, I think he is from Nassau, Kids getting ready for gymratWink, should be fun

rexton gordon from saint anthonys is real deal, bayport should be good w/ two bigs pregnerast and drzal, we are forget about the two guards from sjtb Gynard and Gibbons both helped lead to state championship game, might be best backcourt next year, but JJ and Tobias will duke it out for the best player on the island

I agree If Rex works on his skill set this summer he will be tough to deal with. He is a two or one at the next level hopefully his coaches will have him play the perimeter.

Tobias and JJ. Tobias will be allowed to faceup, JJ plays back to basket 80% of time allowing teams to double him too easily. He must be moved to wing to allow him to flourish if not he should get out of Brentwood and prep someplace. I watched last yr and they forgot about him and either couldn`t or didn`t get him the ball enough because they had him back to basket. All of you that say that he has to do what is best for the team don`t have a clue. What should be best for the team is to run through him every time down ct.

Other players to watch who will make an impact:

Devon "Fatty" McMillan, Uniondale

Justin Wilson, Floral Park

Achraf Yacoubou, LuHi, Rich Soil, AAU (may compete w/Tobias Harris and JJ Moore for best player)

Chauvaughn Lewis, PF, St. Mary's, Queens Pythons AAU

Ismael Pierre, Hempstead, NY Warriors AAU

Tyrece Redd, PG, Westbury, Bunky Reid, AAU

Sheldon Hagigal, G, Westbury, LI Pythons; Lightning Dingle, AAU

Some of the Island HS basketball talent will be on display this week at the Hofstra basketball camp.

The games start tomorrow (I think around 6pm) at Hofstra gym; there will be multiple games each night this week.

LIHOOPS

There are a bunch of guy's you missed

Ward Adams Center Moriches and Drzal Bayport , and Miles ( forgot last name )all returning All County Player's

Also Gibbons and Ginyard St John the Baptist ,  Charlton - Deer Park, Fedge - Bellport, Jackson -Bay Shore,  Nasha - Copiague  Chery - Brentwood

I'm sure there are a few more that i just can't remember right now

Watch for Miles from Whitman, I think he is only a junior next year. Also like the Bayport big men Prendegast and Drzal. Kamil from Lindy is a very good talent. Oh and of course Mr. Harris's son Tobias will probably contend for top player on Long Island next year at HHHW. Also like the Jon Ward Adams kid from Center Moriches if he has some talent to surround him like this past year. Met the father and he seems like a nice guy who will direct him in the right direction

Add Miko Roberts to the list. Pt guard from St As has deadly 3 good handle and one of the few pt gds I have seen on LI or NYC that actually knows the role of Pt Gd
mrbasketball253

Marc Augustin - Valley stream Central - returning all county player whose team made it to the semis
nectar1039

Ashanti DePass - Baldwin
Millerplace

I agree smart guard.

If we look at nyhoops list of top 100, we find that LIers are actually in the mix, leading with Tobias and JJ Moore with a bunch of kids that could make for some interesting hoops this yr.

Tobias is an excellent player, I know him in person and he trains very hard daily. It's not surprise he's so highly ranked.
