Topic: Reporting scores

I do not see scores for all schools listed. The only time I see certain schools listed is when the opposing/winning team reports the result. I guess the winning schools/coaches must provide that  information. Is there any reason that schools/coaches do not/can not report scores? Is it laziness? Conference/Division issues? Or other factors?

I know that it is frustrating not seeing scores, however, if Newsday gave just a little respect to Badminton, or girls' sports in general, maybe coaches would be more apt to call in scores. As a coach of girls' sports, it is annoying to call in scores, give names, stats etc. and then only see in size 4 font the score of the game while other sports get half of a page with a pic. Also getting put on hold for 10 mins. at a time is a little ridiculous. Most of us call right after the game. We want to get home to our families after a long day of teaching and coaching. One night I was on hold for 10 mins. 4 times. I kept hanging up and calling back. The last time the guy answered the phone and asked if I had the Longwood/William Floyd football score. When I said no, he said please hold. So I got the message, if you aren't a certain sport, you don't matter to newsday.
