This has been an off year for most schools in our division, except for a few. I am not an annoyed sports mom, but the captain of my schools team. This is a copy of the letter i sent to Marc Jimenez last week->

While I am happy that bowling has gotten more coverage than last year, I have noticed the lack of CHSAA teams on your rankings. While it has been a strong year for most teams, I think that Chaminade deserves a chance to be considered for it. We have already clinched first in the CHSAA with a 9-2 record. People can say that it was from playing weak oppenents, which they were not, but if you look at our showings at tournaments with public schools, you will see the reason I believe we are the top in Nassua. In the Holiday team tournament, we made a showing, defeating your number 1 East Meadow, and number 2, Hicksville...with our backups. We brought two teams to that tournament, an A, with our 6 starters, and a B, with our 5 bench players. The B team won the entire tournament, beating Hicksville, which finished second. Our A team, the one I led, breezed into third place. Even at the recent doubles tournament at south levittown, our only team took the entire tournament. the CHSAA is different from public schools, in that we use 6 starters instead of 5, but if you took our best 5, it would be up there as the best on Long Island. I will even list them. Andrew Mantione, senior, 213 Ryan Gotterbarn, junior, 211 Rob Gotterbarn, senior, 210 Charlie Steinman, junior, 207 Patrick Deere, junior, 198 I hope you read this and thank your for your time. I hope my case is good enough and am looking forward to the next rankings. -Rob
