I think itll be the fastest boys counties ever do to the major amount of strong junior and senior swimmers. Long Beach is def the favorite and Jayhawks should finish a good second but GNS and GC will be competitve also. Especially GC as they are more built for counties. | |

Gonna be interesting to see how LB goes after the relays, since they have already qualified for states. Can Jericho hold off GC, GNS, and SYO who will all have top heavy scoring.... What isn't discussed or covered by Newsday is some of the independent swimmers that have already posted State qualifying times. Unfortunately, you only get to see these athletes at the County & State meets. Watch for Nicholas Cerra, Herricks HS, Michael Ahern, Wheatley & Nick Spinella , H.Carey. Check out their times on the Section 8 website & Top 25 in NYS. | |
