Topic: 2 on 2 Epee at NSFC This Sunday

The old FCLI 2 on 2 Valentines Day Team Epee event is scheduled for this sunday, 2/10 at NSFC (Manhasset) starting at 12:30. NSFC is a GREAT facility. State of the art, professionally run, and very friendly. This is a real-time 2 on 2 event where both teams fence the same strip at the same time. Lots of 2 on 1 action. Even you Sabre and Foil people would have a blast. Its the perfect thing after division champoinships this saturday. Grab a partner, loved one, or even a teamate, heck, its all out fun. There are already 17 teams signed up and growing fast. You'll see lots of HS Fencers there. Even some of the Suffolk County HS people may dare to show up. How do you think Kobe and Dacis would fare on the same team fencing at the same time, on the same strip? This event happens once a year, is now being run at NSFC, and is a ton of fun. It starts at 12:30 so you can even sleep in late. I heard some of the coaches will be fencing as well. Good luck to everyone this saturday!

OK well first of all, this is not like FCLI, At NSFC you acctuly fence a tornement, with pools and DEs with 2 pple,To 5 and 15 Also we have extremly high level fencers coming (World Champions... National Finalsits etc... ) this is great tornemt to gain valuable expreice while having a lot of fun.

The first one FCLI did had something like 20+ teams with full pools and DEs. Where do you think NSFC got the idea? PAy respect to that which came before you and shut your mouth. I think before you speak you should go back and look at the size of our tournaments, the ratings generated, and the level of fencers that came. It may not have been the cleanest place but at least we held a minimum of two events a month. | |

Sie Jews really kicked some but, Chairman Mao did a great job suckering in one epee, while the other cross-lunged the other. Gofman and Basile took on Alex Tsinis and Vidon, I saw Alex get Alex out, leaving Basile and Vidon. Basile caught a well executed hand touch on Vidon. Same thing happened again. Basile did a good job on sunday.
Hey, its a well respected school, the equipment worked flawlessly, and a lot of people took the event seriously. At FCLI, there were always, 20-30- teams. Its a great event that the club should offer every other month. for fun, |
