| .::::.::::.::::.Posts: 119Location: Join Date: January 24, 2008 8:54 PMSend Message | Ryan Zaremba - by far Nick Digiacamo - next in line And to settle this argument Calisto from Brentwood (because I know he's going to get mentioned) is good but is nowhere new a "top" goalie. Yes he had 300 something saves last year but thats because he saw around 40 shots a game. | |

| laxfaniamPosts: 5Location: Join Date: April 10, 2009 12:26 AMSend Message | Sorry, but stats on the goalie's don't mean anything on seeing how talented a goalie is. | |
| DblJJPosts: 91Location: Join Date: October 23, 2008 1:52 PMSend Message | Its funny......how many stat keepers know the difference between shots on goal and shots? there are some pretty big save stats out there on a daily basis and one has to wonder what the real numbers are. | |
| laxkid101Posts: 1Location: Join Date: May 17, 2009 12:28 PMSend Message | Actually stats do have alot to do with the skill of the goalie. Riverheads Kyle Hubbard leads suffolk county in saves (289) and he is a very good goalie. I also believe that Mt. Sinai's Matt Poillion is second in the county (207) and he is also a very skilled goalie. So you cant say that stats don't mean anything about a goalies skill. | |

The only stat that does is save percentage. Who cares how many saves he had, that just means he saw a lot of shots on goal. What is his percentage? Stats also do not reflect clearing ability or the skill of the teams the player had the saves against. |
