EH played a great game...but the play of their goalie, Mark Simmons was OUTSTANDING, 24 SAVES / only 3 let in to secure their playoff spot. I understand that these teams met the next day, for the first round of Class B Playoffs, and Harborfields won by 1 goal. Thats Lacrosse! Congrats to both teams on making the Suffolk County Playoffs. It's a shame that we didn't read about either of these teams in Newsday during the regular season. They were both deserving of some coverage. | |

US Lacrosse 2009 High School All-Americans New York- Suffolk County
New York-Suffolk County
These two outstanding goalies who were both two-year All-County selections were cut last year at the final tryout before the Top 50...One of the goalies who moved on over them, was not even a starting goalie at the time.
It was so obvious that the Suffolk goalies had already been pre-selected, pre-determined & pre-negotiated. These coaches play way too much politics at the expense of Players futures.
At least Nassau got it right with All-American Plainedge Goalie Rob Bellairs. |
