Topic: West Islip - Hicksville

What are the predictions for this game? Im gonna say 12-4 West Islip. 

I really dont see Hicksville matching up well with this team and WI's depth should be the nail in the coffin.  

Obviously WG is the top program but why do you consider Y'town number 2?  Wouldn't WM be number 2?  Also, WM accomplishments were on LI, which, on the basis of records, has better lax than W'chester.  Finally, I know anything can happen in a single game.  If WI loses, it won't be because they faced no comp.  Any schedule that has WM (twice), Cham., Pequa,  tough Suff. DI teams, will make team ready for the playoffs (plus you have to remember the talent level of WI's non-starters; they pushed the starters every day).  Good luck to WI against Y'town.

Better bone up on your reading comprehension, sherlock.  I said WM not WI.  As for WI, I said they might lose or they might win.  That's usually what happens when two very good teams play.  I had my head out of WI but yours is still where it usually is (I guess you're used to no sunshine!).  BTW, if W'Chester is now number two, it still leaves them behind LI: State HS, Empires, NCAAs, etc.)

A few more things!  Y'town played two LI teams this year:  a loss to WM and an OT win over Cham.  I seem to recall WI doing OK against them (even the OT loss to WM was better than Y'town's).  As for Galasso's age, at way the years get added on in this urban legend, by next season he'll be older than Craig.  I'm sure you read my previous post about this but now we're back to reading comprehension.  Sorry about that.

I hope the reason you don't have a mortgage is because you are not at that stage in life.  Otherwise it would be pretty sad if you bet something so important on a bunch of HS kids playing a game.  In case you hadn't noticed, the team that beat WG lost in the semis.  Don't know anything about OP but they must be very good if they're in the NYS A championship.  Hope WI wins but I certainly wouldn't bet the mortgage on it.  Anybody seen the sun?

People might tend to disagree.  Cowpie will probably say it's because WI has a 30 year old player.  In any case, good luck to WI (Manhasset too) in the state title game.

Galasso is 17 just like everyone else,  his birthday is in December of '91. Which is a 2010 grad. And good call with the score by the way.... 

Galasso is a Dec. birthday....however, Nick missed 1 year of school when his mom died. My hats off to him for all he has done in the face of adversity. 17 or 18 the man is a great player. Should have been a senior this year though. Really doesn't matter. Nick is an impact player and will be starting at UNC.

OK, one last time for the truly slow:  no coach, AD, or school administration is going to put their reputation, career, etc, on the line to win a few more games.   Anyone who cannot grasp this concept is either stupid, ignorant, thick, or so totally biased that they have lost sight of common sense.  With some posters it's probably a combination of some or all of these factors.

While the adage (I noticed you didn't make the common mistake of saying "old adage" so there might a brain hidden in there somewhere; unless spelling 'old" was a little too difficult.  After all, you got "it" wrong.) might be true at some (many?) colleges, it isn't true at the HS level.  ADs (directors/departments) are concerned about so much more than just a few more wins in one sport.  WI, like most schools, fields dozens of teams for both sexes from middle school to varsity.  The AD is not going to jeopardize anything/everything  for a few lax wins.  Also, don't you think the opposing coaches would be on top of this?  Unless, of course, they're all working together in some vast Long Island conspiracy run by a group of dominant parents.  I'm sure you know I'm correct  but you probably just enjoy being a pain in the ***.
