Why do you think age has anything to do with sucess except a younger coach has less experience. Did you ever hear of JoePa? You're probably to young, but think about this the next time you thing an older person isn't capable of great things. Joe Paterno (born December 21, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York), nicknamed JoePa, is the head coach of The Pennsylvania State University's college football team, a position he has held since 1966. Paterno holds the record for the most victories by a Division IA/ FBS football coach, and has coached more bowl game wins and undefeated seasons than any other coach in college football history. At age 82, Paterno is coaching his 59th season on the Penn State coaching staff in 2008, holding the record for most seasons for any football coach at any university. The 2008 season marks Joe Paterno’s 43rd as head coach of the Nittany Lions Maybe you want to tell me they need some young blood at Penn State to build a sucessful program. Its a year later and he's still winning.what a mistake tierney is too old to build anything. he is looking for a retirement contract and denver is stupid to give him it. we need young blood not retreads

I guess the point of the whole post went right over your head, at 82 years old Paterno is getting done what coaches a third of his age can't. A coach with a record like his is someone the likes of which future players may never see again. Any serious player would jump at the honor of playing for such an accomplished coach. Furthrmore because of his vast depth of experience a player that earns his respect can know for the rest of his life that he himself has accomplished something few others have. what young kid wants to be taught by an 82 year old.And why is an 82 year old still coaching.yes i am young but 82 and tierney is like 66 please.
