easily the best high school team in the country. great schedule, great players, great coach and every player is under 18. At first I was going to chalk up your post as just another not so subtle shot at WI but then I figured what-the-heck, I'll try to find out some facts to refute you. I tried to find Gilman's roster. Couldn't, so I'm sure you couldn't either. There is no way of telling if Gilman has a 40 year old (or whatever age you're giving Galasso this week). I did find out that Gilman is an all boys, grades 3-12 prep school with a tuition of $22,000 a year. They are obviously well coached and have excellent players and they play in a very tough, insular league of similar private schools. Whether winning that league is tougher than winning an LI or NYS A title is a matter of spirited debate on the major lax forums. Finesse v. a more physical style? There is no objective measure. Would you bet the ranch on Gilman against WI? Would I make the same bet on WI against Gilman? Definitely not. The people at Laxpower who get off on this silly stuff rank Gilman 5 tenths of a percentage point over WI. That by itself should take care of the first word of your post. At the very least, WI is now the top lax dog in NY and will be a power for the foreseeable future. You're just going to have to deal with that. Jeez, it's getting late, maybe I should have just posted my first thought: you could have made the identical post under the topic: West Islip. | |
