i heard today that there is a new rule regarding the empire tryouts saying that no one who has turned 18 before January 31 is eligible to participate. Then i was told that Nicky Galasso was not eligible because he is 18 and has a birthday in January. Is this true?

Why can't people give credit to someone for being talented?  Nick Galasso is 16 years old.  His birthday is in December.  He is the youngest of five boys and he grew up playinmg against older people, so he is talnted.  Live with it

I hate to say it but he is 18, he was held back early in school, and then took a year off in 6th grade after his mothers tragic passing, MSG did a segment on it during one of the lax games, Even if he was a senior now he still would be going to a big name D-1 program and still be the Dominant force he is

I never said anything negative about him, I have nothing but respect for him and the West Islip program, I was just curious if this were true of not. I didn't believe it a first.

Let's try this again.  Nick's 16 years old.  He has not been left back academically or red-shirted for athletics.  h

He will still be playing for West Islip the next two years, when he is a 17 year old junior, and an 18 year old senior.

I'm still curios to as how old he is??? can somebody give me a real age with some well i guess proof, because Nassau is now the third person ive heard say he's 18. Frogman what makes you think that he's only 16.

Once again I have absolutely nothing against him, I'm just trying to clear up some rumors that i've heard.

Stupid post no justification needed, the kid is 16 face the fact is he's great and will only be getting better, and factor in that the WI defense are all juniors mixed with Bradish who is also a junior. That does sot bode well for the rest of Suffolk.  Deal with the fact that you guys are getting you rear ends kicked by a kid who played varsity in 8th grade and still has 2 years to go.

jealousy is a very ugly thing. those who can't compete at the high level always try and tear down others who can. deal with it you suck or did suck when you played and the envy is eating you up, that a kid is that good a certain age. In fact it would not suprise if your son got schooled by galasso and its pissing you off something fierce.. hahaha
Laxplayer2239

He is a 16 year old boy who is amazing at lacrosse stop saying lies they arent true

HE IS 16!!!!!!! (in 10th grade)

You people are unbelievable, jealous is not the word.  Nicky was born December 5, 1991. Period.  The WI school cut off date is December 1st.  So he is one of the oldest in his grade, but it is the grade he legitimately belongs in. All his older brothers are excellent athletes as were both his parents. He's been playing against all of them since birth.  What's the problem with grasping that concept.  Move on.
