Wow!! Does it really matter who has a "better" travel team??? Obviously, the answers to that question will be biased. Whatever team your daughter is on will be the "best". My daughter was in a showcase last summer out west and played against 18U gold teams from both California and Texas. NO New York team compares to these teams. Once one gets off Long Island the competition is amazing. It was a great experience to watch such talented young women. So this discussion of who the "best" travel team is, is really pointless. Hopefully, everyone is happy with their team, if not there are plenty of others to check out. Also, to get your daughter recruited, they do not have to play on any travel team. You can enter them in individual showcases. Anyway, good luck to all with their travel journies!!!
Does it really matter..this is about LI Softball.. Why take away from the hard work that our girls put in? Is that pointless? let them enjoy their "moment in the sun."I was hoping for honest opinions..I know my daughters team is not in my top three | |

No one is "taking away" from Long Island girls, my daughter is one of them. The point is, it's ridiculous to go on about the "best" teams, when it is subjective. The other point I make is that people should be realistic and realize that when they do get off long island, there is great competition out there. Also, no one cares which travel team beat the other one. At college showcases, the scores don't matter. Scouts are there to check out indivduals who have contacted them and have an interest in attending their school. No college recruiter cares which long island travel team beat the other and by what score!!!!!!
You are right..so put your daughter on the worst team on Long Island and have at it.Youre right the team does not matter | |

The better LI travel teams don not even play local tournys. There out of state and the better ones stack up pretty well. | |

Most, if not all, of the teams mentioned in this thread play most of their games out of state in competitve tournaments. I think you're peeved because your favorite team wasn't mentioned because I'll bet $$ that if it was, we wouldn't hear a peep out of you. So lighten up....this thread was about LI Travel not Nationwide travel.....we all know the deal about teams to the west and south of us. The girls on the teams mentioned more than deserve the credit with their hardwork and commitment they show to their teams and you should be proud of them as well, after all they are representing Long Island softball when they play out of state! | |
