Why do the Express Anthem go to showcases when most of their players are starting their freshman year in college next month? The same goes for the Silver Bullets.

they can't replace their older players with good younger ones, so they go with the older players. they don't realize college coachs notice this type of stuff, big mistake

They should go to regular tournaments, not showcases. It's not fair that their teams take spots of other teams who would like to attend.

They realize it. It is not a secret. Players graduation year are in the team profile sheet or wrist bands if worn.

how did long island teams do in binghampton  heard sudden impact gold  beat beach girls 3-1 how did  l i charger do i guess long island teams can compete with so call elite teams that cost 8 to 10 k to play for per season let see what the rest of the week end bring anyone with scores on long island teams please post
the upstate cold weather TC tremors won the nationals bid. you shouldn`t compare any team against the beach girls. botti has about run that team into the ground. why do you think he`s always trying to steal players from other teams?

A showcase is for recruiting. College coaches have no interest in players already enrolled in college. Those few players that are juniors on those teams are losing out. The college coaches will not be watching those teams. They better hope the coaches come to watch the opponent.

I still feel only teams with 75% underclassman should be allowed in a showcase.

the tournement directors need to do a better job on accepting  the teams they take.  express elite which has all juniors accept one, tried to get into the delaware invitational but they took the anthem instead which has all seniors.

Is Delware a showcase or tournament? If it is a showcase that is the directors mistake.

If a college wants to see a player they will contact the team before the game starts. Most coaches will start that player. If a college coach arrives without specific interest in any player they will ask if 'player will be in the game'

In a perfect world it works that way but there are times when a college coach is looking at a particular player he/she will also be looking at players at other positions he/she needs to fill.  If college players are being used they are taking the spots/opportunities away from those girls who need to be seen.

I have no problem with having college players on 18u teams, but those teams should not be at college showcases.  The tournment directors should really crack down on this as it is not fair to both the hs players and the college coaches.

I totally agree with you! Ido not have a problem with college players on 18u teams, it's the team coaches who insist on going to showcases instead of tournaments. Maybe they, the coaches, don't know the difference.

TLI 4-0, Rebels 4-0 Heat 3-1, Seeded 1,2,3 for Sunday in Bracket A. TLI gave up 5 runs, Rebels gave up 8 runs, Heat gave up 7 runs in their 4 games, but none of them played each other, which was nice of the tournament directors. Great job by all three teams.

No idea on the other teams.
