Yes this is the second year that the great Sal Ciampi Jr has hit a kid on purpose with a bat in the head. He is being suspended for this incident . He should be in jail.He is a child abuser and EI schools have let it happen . They knew all along. There have been many letters and complaints in the past . The AD did nothing.

Ted Jr was hit with a bat by Ciampi so was the kid this year. What happened to your assistant football coach? BTW . No one cares about highschool football in the real world so enjoy your glory days now cause Suffolk Community still doesn't have a football team .

You have no idea what you are talking about. If you would like to personally discuss this with me, lets go. Bye the bye, I have no vested interest in this subject other than your obnoxioius post with the Barclay kid. Bring it on benchwarmer. Stop hiding behind your keyboard.

You can't lie in court. The kids that are lying to the special investigator will not be able to in court. They will go to jail.

Yes I heard about the situation with the assistant. I will also repeat myself....stop calling out high school kids on this forum. man up joker, what is your angle against Coach Ciampi and these kids? Sounds like another bitter parent to me.
| redmen2Posts: 6Location: Join Date: March 25, 2009 10:06 AMSend Message | the kid isnt a liar...you know soo much about this whole situation..i can only conclude that your the parent who wrote the letter to the superattenant or your just a jealous parent, and all of us athletes who play for coach ciampi want to thank the people on this blog who support us and ciampi, besides the guy who thinks we roid up cause hes just a downright idiot and is mad at the fact that we want him as our coach | |

| saddenedPosts: 3Location: Join Date: May 15, 2009 8:21 PMSend Message | Sal Ciampi Jr has been suspended because he is an abusive coach with severe anger issues. He talks to all of his players, not just one, in a very abusive manner. I was even at a game where he physically, and violently went into a rage and chest bumped his own player off of third base while screaming profanities in his face at the top of his lungs. He was blaming any possible loss to this kid for missing a call, and berated him to all of the players over they course of the rest of the game. He calls his players humiliating names in front of parents, teammates, and other teams and parents. He was not suspended over one letter. It takes much more than one complaint to cause a special investigator to come into a school and suspend a coach from his position. Multiple letters have come in from multiple parents of affected kids. This is much deeper than most people know. It's just too bad he had to be this way. He inherited a great position from his dad. All he had to do was coach like a decent individual and he would have had the position for life. Even with his recent record. | |

| mcsorelyPosts: 17Location: Join Date: May 13, 2009 9:09 PMSend Message | The situation here is not about one family making a stand. Only one ballsy enough to come out. There are many involved. They are anonymous for fear of retaliation from the android football players. Ciampi threatened to bash the kids head in and actually hit him in the head in a fit of anger. Did same thing to Ted Jr. My guess is players he won't be back. So becareful who you are aligning yourselves with cause new blood most likely coming in. And boys everyone is watching . Tom ****ing Puzzuto thanks for keeping EI real estate affordable. Peeeeaaaaaaccceeeeee ! 179 pitches. | |

Tom, you are right. The kid did make a mistake. But if you recall, he was telling the kid to go, then simultaneously telling the kid behind him to stop. The kid on third thought Ciampi was changing his call. Again a mistake that maybe any coach would be frustrated over, and maybe even yell, but no where near to the abusive level of this coach. It was unbelievable, and embarassing. And you also know full well that he yells at and berates, humiliates and curses players on almost every given play (in games and at practice). It is painful to watch, I can only imagine how difficult it must be to play under those circumstances. And finally, what really makes me so sad, is that after 40 years of this kind of coaching in this town, nobody knows that it isn't supposed to be this way. They think this is normal. It isn't. Many great coaches coach championship teams without degrading, humiliating, cursing at, or even physically hitting (yes that chest bump could legally be constituted as assault) their players. It just isn't necessary. How about building these kids esteem. Cheering them on. Supporting them both in the game in in their personal lives. Sure come down tough when they need it, but them show them the better way. That is the true measure of a coach. A player shouldn't walk away feeling greatful for having survived the season. They should wish it could go on longer, not pray every day for its end. That's all. All of you kids deserve better.

If you were an athlete, you would know that it takes ambition and a massive amount of sweat, tears and blood. No this blood is not from the hands of Coach Ciampi. I played baseball with Ted Jr. for 6 years. For those six years, I have never seen or heard of him being touched by Ciampi. I do not know where you got these false accusations from, but find a new source. Every christmas, the Gregorys and the Ciampis are together. Why would Coach Ciampi ever hit any1 that he spends his Christmas with??? You have no right to spread these false accusations. Want an honest person in court?? Find me

That is wonderful. Truly. I hope you have a great future, and I am glad that it all worked out for you. It isn't the experience of many though. Honestly, I can't speak for football, I've never been to a game or practice, so maybe he is a different man there, and thank God for that. Although I do know that complaints, serious ones have been filed by parents of football players as well. I just hope it all works out for the best interest of the kids. That is what is important. Good luck in your future.
