That kid from manhasset had some sick numbers though, so he deserved to be mentioned. It seems to me that all 5 players had great seasons and some great talent, and naming more than 5 makes it seem less prestigious. With that said, Roeske still should have been brought up. | |

| ndftball15Posts: 1Location: Join Date: July 6, 2009 7:25 AMSend Message | Well in 11th grade CSH played in A's and he hit over .500 against them in 10 plus games in the 3rd highest A league and as for proving something i think he did that when he got mvp of the LI game and hit over .550 with 53 runs and 37 SB i dont think there was much more he could prove in that game whether he went or not especially since it was after the awards were picked obviously the coaches had it in there mind he had to hit over .600 with 70 runs and 50 sb in the league he was in in order to get recognition even though he is going to school on a d1 scholarship and has played travel baseball at the highest level his whole life.... | |

I understand he got MVP for 3 nice catches, not for any hits, and in 11th grade he was still in lower league, check the teams he played. they were terrible. are his hits solid hits he gets or slap a ball and beat it out because ss or 3rd base man have no range or now arms. how many of those 150 hits were solid line drives to out field or in the gaps like most good hitters accomplish. That is the sign of a great hitter. The others mentioned ( which I have seen 3 of them) could hit to all fields and with power and some speed. He shjould have played in the exceptional senior game to prove everyone wrong. That also the sign of a great player, never giving up, not a soar looser. | |
