| lifootball99Posts: 7Location: Join Date: April 15, 2008 10:32 PMSend Message | I must give port some props for beating a tough Syosset team. This is clearly a new team as last year they were just downright dreadful. I didn't think they were that good this year as they lost to the only good team they played all year(east meadow), but a win against a top team proves they are at least competative. | |

| lifootball99Posts: 7Location: Join Date: April 15, 2008 10:32 PMSend Message | What was the score of the Massapequa/Port game today? All of the other high seeds won(McArthur, EM, Mepham) | |
| nothingnothingPosts: 3Location: Join Date: May 18, 2008 4:55 PMSend Message | pequa won 13-0. Mandarino pitched no-hitter and no one hit the ball out of the infield for port. | |
| NassauFanPosts: 43Location: Join Date: March 21, 2008 3:37 PMSend Message | I was at the game but left early because it was 10-0 with only one out in the bottom of the first inning. Was the score actually worse than 13-0? Many coaches don't report the actual score in a bigtime blowout. | |

I say Meph and Mac for the win
| lifootball99Posts: 7Location: Join Date: April 15, 2008 10:32 PMSend Message | Pequa took all 3 from Mepham and East Meadow beat McArthur 2 out of 3. Doesn't necessarily mean the results will be the same in the playoffs, but I am giving the two higher seeds the edge. I heard Savin from McArthur is hurt, any truth to those rumors? | |
| barbara1213Posts: 2Location: Join Date: May 22, 2008 9:11 PMSend Message | My son attends school with Tyler Savin, haven't heard anything about him being hurt. He pitched against plainview JFK. He is 8-0 this year. Mac may win first game against East Meadow with Savin pitching but they don't have the bats this year, I know alot of their varsity players quit this year including their 3,4,5 batters from the JV team something must have happened, I heard 9 kids quit after the team was formed. Mac lost 2 out of 3 to pequa and 2 out of 3 to East Meadow. Tough road ahead of them, but you never know. | |
| bigmac08Posts: 17Location: Join Date: March 28, 2008 8:55 PMSend Message | Savin is not hurt. Like you said in playoffs you never know. Mac is a team, will play like a team, will win like a team. See you soon. | |
| highschoolbaseballfanPosts: 1Location: Join Date: May 23, 2008 11:12 AMSend Message | MacArthur did not lose their 3, 4, and 5 hitters. 3 and 5 were juniors and 4 did leave when he didn't play ONE game. It seems that some senior players assumed that they would be starters because they "had to wait" last year. Unfortunately, age, or "time served" is not the way to create a baseball lineup. 3 kids quit when told they may be going to JV. That happened before the regular season began. While several others left the team, it certainly was not the boys playing every day. This is a young team and expect a good next few seasons. As far as the losing of both the East Meadow and Massapequa series, they were decided by one inning in each deciding game . I think that makes everyone pretty even and makes for a great playoff this year. | |

I say Meph and Mac for the win Massapequa is too strong 3-6 for Mep. good system at massapequa. anybody remember them being down to their last out 2 years ago against EastIslip and going on to win the game? The umpires had to be escorted from the field after the threats made against them.

It was for personal reasons along with not playing in the biggest game of the year against Massepequa when both teams were 3-0. He was replaced with a sop****re who struck out twice and hit into a double play to end the game. He wasn't even given an explanation as to why he was being replaced. That was the biggest reason the coaches were batting him forth and than gave him no reason for taking him out. I know this kid and he was looking forward to this game all the scouts were there and newsday and he was blindsided as to why he wasn't playing.
