if you consider the 3 starters in the glenn rotation average at best...then you're clearly mistaken.

mike massa-lafayette.

josh laufer-c.w. post.

frank lamacchia-only a junior this year but will be getting looks.

but the coach is a moron...i would like to see how far this team can go so i hope he doesn't mess it up.

Thing is that because the league is so weak those pitchers will look that much better.  If this was a competitive league, they would not post the monster stats they are going to post. Itd be nice if they want far, but when u get to the playoffs the talent levels tend to even out a little bit and coachin becomes a much bigger facter.  When glenn made the playoffs for the first time in a long time two years ago, the coach started a pitcher who had burned out from overuse (his fault) and last year allowed a player to remain in the game after he made a bad base running mistake and cried (mentally weak) and that same player made yet another bad base running mistake later on (lost by one, safe to say those were rally killers and cost them the game)  Good luck, only luck can prevent an idiotic move come playoff time

none of those kids break 80 dawgg

nyyankees675

yo "dawg" laufer been clocked at 90 and massa hits at least 85.  Good call though, they clearly cant hit 80 ahaha
lisports003

haha yeah get your facts straight before you talk..

massa consistently hits low 80s

laufer consistently mid to high 80s..throws a low 90 in there every once in a while with a filthy slide piece.

northeastbaseball09

if laufer throws constatly mid 80s y is he goin to cw post.constant mid 80's is a d1 prospect

nyyankees675

b/c hes getting a full ride and thats important with today's economy.  And i do have my facts straight, iv seen them play for years.  And yes, laufer has a DIRTY slider but he also has a change up now too.
nyyankees675

also the point of this threat is how glenn will destroy a pathetic league and then get bounced in the playoffs.  Southhampton is a joke, Bayport is nothing what it used to be, Babylon lost a lot of good players, Hampton bays is mediocre, and Mattituck is still good but lost one of their star pitchers.  If Glenn were in almost any other league they wouldnt be that great, but b/c there league is pathetic, they will run away with it
northeastbaseball09

where wud u rank this laufer kid in li
lisports003

not that high..the reason he isn't going to a d1 school is because hes about 5 foot 9 and he loses his head sometimes
TheFlyingTomato

mattituck lost all their good pitching

and i don't think lamacchia is going to pitch much

i believe sop****re logan allen is going to step up and

fill the third starter position

nyyankees675

Logan won't last as the third starter because he has arm issues, he is best suited as a closer however the glenn coach believes in using only three starters and having them go the distance every game, thus burning them out come playoff time
lisports003

the glenn coach thinks hes in the big leagues..

watch the glenn players warm up..he makes them do pretty much the whole mets warm up..thinks hes coaching big leaguers

nyyankees675

you could not have phrased it any better.  His massive ego blocks him from seeing simple truths, such as the fact that it is high school baseball and not MLB, you don't need to have your pitchers go the distance when a bullpen is available, and using your bench.  I honestly feel sorry for any player who has to put up with such a clown
HoVA45Rugga

Chill homeboys no1 on glenn gets 90 ok.. the two aces kids throw like 85 i was jokin about that b4 and there number 3 gets like high 70s
ThePostmanIsBack

massa is one of the most overated pitchers in the league. he throws a straight fastball with no other pitches and is only considered decent becuase he is a lefty

nyyankees675

while it is true that massa is overrated since his stuff is nothing special, the terrible league he plays in inflates his stats.  Also, as I have said before, Laufer has been clocked at 90, I do not understand why that is so hard to believe.  Massa throws around 85 and I dont know what lamacchia throws, but it doesnt matter because lamacchia is a high school pitcher, nothing more.
