Stahl hits well, but escobar is a great kid he plays intense and is quick also has a good bat

No matter what kind of spin he tries to put on things, these are the facts: He left St doms for John Glenn and was not playing much at St. doms He is going to Farmingdale on a baseball scholarship. Those statements can't be argued with, they are what they are, however, Farmingdale is not Sacred Heart, or Manhattan, or whatever other school Jkourie claims Escobar turned down. Clearly something is not being said. Perhaps it is the fact that college coaches think differently of Escobar than Jkourie does. In the end, what the college coaches think is more important than what a friend or high school coach thinks, since they are the ones giving the scholarship. I will give you one thing though, while I have stated I have never personally seen Escobar play, from what I have heard, he is definitely a better shortstop than the one Glenn has now. I have little doubt that Escobar has more arm strength and possibly more range than the current shortstop.

| nyyankees675Posts: 117Location: Join Date: March 2, 2009 5:11 PMSend Message | your right, division three doesn't give baseball scholarships. They give money under different scholarships such as academic and you have to actually try out for the team. There was a player who attended Trinity, a division three school and was cut even though he thought he was a lock to make the team. Makes the fact that Farmingdale was chosen over sacred heart, etc. more suspicious | |

| nyyankees675Posts: 117Location: Join Date: March 2, 2009 5:11 PMSend Message | Okay, so there is a reason why he turned down those schools, and its a damned good reason too. Just wondering how do you know he is batting third? | |
| northeastbaseball09Posts: 56Location: Join Date: March 3, 2009 6:03 PMSend Message | does he have the power to bat 3rd? | |
| TheFlyingTomatoPosts: 73Location: Join Date: March 5, 2009 5:36 PMSend Message | yeah i think he is more of a line drive hitter, with the occasional triple thrown in there due to his speed i don't think he's got that much pop | |
| jkourie21Posts: 6Location: Join Date: March 16, 2009 10:02 PMSend Message | i have some resources......he's not a power hitter, but has the occasional long ball...and who has power besides michael massa? no one. | |
| jkourie21Posts: 6Location: Join Date: March 16, 2009 10:02 PMSend Message | and its not if he has the power to bat third, but the kid doesn't strike out and i think he'll have at least 2 homers this year | |
| nyyankees675Posts: 117Location: Join Date: March 2, 2009 5:11 PMSend Message | I would like to hear these sources about Escobar batting third, if only because I have a funny feeling you know more than that, like the entire lineup | |
| northeastbaseball09Posts: 56Location: Join Date: March 3, 2009 6:03 PMSend Message | y isnt he playing the postion he wants?and also for whoever said tht the kid stahls parents donated a scoreboard tht is false if u go to st dominics fields u will see it says donated by some1 else.nd also if everyone is right bout this league sayin how bad it is he shud have 2 or 3,its also metal bats so anything can get out | |

| nyyankees675Posts: 117Location: Join Date: March 2, 2009 5:11 PMSend Message | Here is a good question, Who do you guys think will win the Glenn tournament? The 4 teams are Huntington, Harborfields, Hills East, and Glenn. I think Hills East should crush Huntington and Glenn should beat Harborfields, they are going to want it more. I hope the final is Massa v Brown, in which case I give the edge to Hills East, only cause I am not sold on Glenn's lineup and Hills is used to much better competition. Also Brown can be more dominating than Massa. | |
| HofstrarecruitPosts: 6Location: Join Date: December 5, 2008 2:31 PMSend Message | I think southampton will take down Glenn because they have a much better staff in Antilety, Alvarado, and Pike. Glenn's Staff as a whole is overated and shoulddnt be able to perform under the pressure. | |
| nyyankees675Posts: 117Location: Join Date: March 2, 2009 5:11 PMSend Message | Yes, Glenn's staff as a whole is overrated, but cmon, you really think SOUTHHAMPTON has a better staff than Glenn? Glenn's staff has two college pitchers, that is kind of tough to beat | |
| killacrossPosts: 27Location: Join Date: February 14, 2009 9:27 PMSend Message | None on south hampton can play wit the big dawgs in league 7 or 8. They got nobody who breaks 80 on da radder rachet. | |
| lisports003Posts: 35Location: Join Date: December 9, 2008 6:37 PMSend Message | nobody's over rating glens staff..there just saying that theyll blow away the league there in there not even being talked about anywhere else so how is that over rated? | |
| TheFlyingTomatoPosts: 73Location: Join Date: March 5, 2009 5:36 PMSend Message | actually every starter for southampton breaks 80 dawg |
