haha nyyankees i have yet to hear you say something positive in this whole thing..

That is not necessarily true.  I did say that both Southampton and Glenn have the talent to go deep into the playoffs.

You are right, Southampton has proved more than Glenn so far.  Can't really tell who is better until that series is played out, and I am sure it will be one hell of a series.  I don't think Massa is the most hyped, he does put up stats, but those stats don't mean much considering how weak the league is.  Obviously there is a good amount of the Southampton team on these boards who like to talk, which is good, it shows they are confident.  Regardless of whoever wins the series (basically winner wins the division), both teams have the talent to go deep into the playoffs, it will all depend on how the players handle the pressure and how the coaches go about coaching their teams.

I think that is pretty positive.

Go figure, Glenn blows out Sinai, a consistent team over the year, in the first two games of the series, and then gets shellacked in the final game.  The important thing to note though is the fact that Glenn still put up a high run total, which means their offense is on all cylinders, and that they clearly do not have a three starter at the moment.  That could easily change over the next few weeks, but unless Glenn finds a quality three starter they might have a problem deep in the playoffs.  Also, Whitman crushed Southampton, which was a small shock.  Whitman is good, but 19 runs is something I don't think they even thought they could achieve.  Overall, just a bad day for the two powers of division 7.  Whitman has some quality players as does Sinai, so its not like these wins were completely out of the ordinary.

southampton had a bad day as did glenn

however, in southampton's game they were in it

but costly mistakes by the team put them in a rut it was 6-6

then whitman flexed their muscles and kept ripping hits. not a big deal for either

team because they will each make the playoffs and do well. southampton challenged

themselves and it shows they need to step it up. southampton will do well against mattituck

next week and it will all come down to the three game series starting april 28 i believe

That sounds like some quality analysis.  I definitely agree Southampton will do well against Mattituck: would not shock me if it was a sweep.  I am also fairly confident in saying that the Southampton v Glenn series will not be a sweep due to Glenn's current lack of a third starter.  Basically, if Southampton can take one of the first two games I think they stand a strong chance to win the series and pull the major upset of winning the division.

TheFlyingTomato

well said. i think southampton will win the third game as long as they can hit because

pike is a better pitcher then glenn's third. Also, you were right in saying that if southampton wins

one of the first games they can be league champs, which would be a major surprise.

lala34

does anyone give babylon a shot at beating glenn or even being competitive. just wondering since they just beat up mattitiuck .
nyyankees675

I think the series will be competitive (no blow outs).  Babylon can probably take one game from the series.
nyyankees675

It is also worth noting the power matchup for the Glenn v Babylon series, Ryan Luft v Miles Fontana.  Both are in the top 25 for home runs and both are quality players.  Glenn and Babylon are very fortunate to have these guys and they should put on some hell of a display of hitting throughout the series.

Yes, good pitching stops good hitting, but I was just giving some credit to two players who have hit some bombs, that's all.
