Topic: Deer Park

I wouldn't necessarily say that is true in all cases especially in their girl's programs.  But there is a tone thart is set forth by some of their coaches over at Deer Park that has lead to that perception.  Two cases in articular would be the golf program and in the past the wrestling program.  With the wrestling program the have replaced the coach who was a very poor competitor and the new coach is starting to return the program to a place of respect on and off the mat like back when Ed Luksik coached. 

 Now the golf coach is a different story.  I have heard him talking and coaching his kids (over at Colonial Springs GC, he should be more careful who is on the putting green when he has team meetings at the end of practice) and some of the stuff he tells them just doesn't reprisent the spirit of golf.  It is unfortunate because he has/does have some kids who are hard working and have some skill.  But the coach is poisonong the program.
