| vballaduPosts: 46Location: Join Date: May 18, 2008 2:34 PMSend Message | end of season awards (note, this is based off who i played and how well they played against my team): most dominant OH - josh tuttle (esm). im sorry. he raped us (whb), was unstoppable against smthE in season, and was highly effective against sachem north in the playoffs even though their middles shadowed him. if this kid had more consistent sets and a middle who drew more attention, he would mirk everyone. plus, he shut down RSs.
best defender: dan goldstein (HHH). nobody close. this kid covers court like nobodies business and doesnt shank anything.
best blocker: greg falcone (lindy), who else? he was blocking free balls.
team heart award: i say tie between whitman and bayshore. whitman is such a pain to play because they get so pumped over little points, but it helps them stay in games and never give up. bayshore because everytime i saw them play (more than 3times) they were all-out husltin no matter the score. that says alot about the coaching and the example set by their core players.
best underclassmen: speaking of bayshore... chris cruz (rs) and alec viera (mh) did a great job of shouldering their team and setting the tone. thats a team to watch for next year. ryan lilley (s ward melville) impressed me, even though i knew he would be good. i didnt play commack this year, but like i expected, i heard pat lilly (rs) made an impact as a sop****re. if he isnt a rookie of the year, somebody screwed up. Paul ejups for west islip and matt nyzych of smthE are both OHs who should be looked out for next year.
most fun team to play: of my four favorite matches this season, 3 were losses. I enjoyed playing the sachem north team almost as muchas i hated their fans. a solid team who plays off momentum and jokes around through the net. smithtown east: dominated us, but my team played hard and fairly well. lindy: we almost had you.. just saying. sachem east: the lone win of my fave 4, a quality team who played the game the right way, with no bad attitudes or sloppy bs. random complaint: the hills coach told my coach that my team was taunting. and we werent. just normal friendly banter under the net that we have with every team. that was kinda weird.
if your gonna make your own awards, please dont mention players from your school. lets keep it as objective as possible. | |

| vballaduPosts: 46Location: Join Date: May 18, 2008 2:34 PMSend Message | as much as i dont like webers self-promotion, i do think he was the best OH this year. jablonski had the most talent of a rs, but hes so inconsistent. the smthE rs (donofrio) is the best/most dependable rs (obviously its just my opinion). | |

Ahhhhhhhhh and the libero, well we all know who the best libero in the county is<3 Right side, i would have to say JAblowme is pretty damn good, but i am sorry to say that i fear one day he will be the man we try and keep our children away from. okay okay middles, garrett minyard is it? yes i believe so... he is very good. FALCONe, is great... just great. So in conclusion, my ideal team would be as follows.... outsides:webaaaaaaaa, mckenzAAAAAAAAA, schmid right sides: JaBlowMeeeeeeee Middles: Garrett Minyard & Greg Falcone Setters: Christian LaduMeHard & Bryan Piotrowski Libero: I hate to float my own boat, but Goldstein baby<3

| StownVeebsPosts: 23Location: Join Date: April 20, 2008 7:35 PMSend Message | bro. shut up. why are you taking cheap shots at kids. no need. the kid will make it farther in life then you ever will cause your a scum bag who finds it necessary to make fun of ppl on a volleyball forum. get a life. | |
| estownbabyyPosts: 1Location: Join Date: November 8, 2008 5:58 PMSend Message | honestly what the f u c k are you thinking, bringing up someones grades like that? it's none of your business.. the sad part is they will still probably go to a better school than you because they are insane athletes. I, for one, am getting a full ride to a d1 school and i have an 80 at best. So bite your toungue and go spend more time playing volleyball and less time studying. The classes you take in high school mean nothing | |
