i think its about time there was fantasy volleyball.

point categories: blocking(-1per error, +1 per roof, +.5 soft block)

hitting (" "

serving (-1 error, +1 ace)

passing (-1 error, +1 dig)

Ball handling (-1 error, kills can only equal < 2x assists)

let teh fantasy draft talk start! who will be the most productive FANTASY player, what is the best drafting strategy, etc.

this is sick haha i like it. my team would have to be falcone in the middle obviously bringin in the roofs. and you might all think this is crazy by smith easts setter mike odonnel has to be up there considering hes going to have a lot of assists every game this year. hell be very productive.

makes sense. he has plenty of options to set to. how bout blocking though? is he better than lilley? as far as fantasy production, lilley is going to get a bunch of points on service with that wicked little float of his. also, it helps to have one of the better OHs in the county.

ok, how mnay ppl are interested in having a team and trying to get this started?

then we need to figure out how exactly to amke the system work. itll take active involvement by more than the people withteams. need people to report stats. accurately.

i think like a 4-6 team league is doable.

i'd have to go with ryan lilley at setter when he is on his A game. west I's middle anthony delillo is pretty solid so dont underestimate him. he brings in the blocks. bryan weber and mike mckenna would be my outsides. goldsteing at libero bc he is an animal. and my other middle would be falcone. though he is over rated he is still 6' 8". idk who my rightside would be. no one has caught my eye yet.

Yeah, I like the idea of vballadu's stat idea incorporating it into the "fantasy" team... BUT... how do ya get the stats? AND how do you know if they're accurate. I know wh's stats are never accurate. I am not in favor of having kids keep stats as they're easily distracted - never really paying attention to the game ... chatting, etc. Yeah, we can multi-task... but setters don't get assists when the hitter doesn't get a kill. But I will start my fantasy team... as follows: setter - christian ladu from wh, opposite - mike mckenna from sw, greg falcone as middle from lindy, outside hitter - josh tuttle from esm, as for the rest of the spots...not sure - no one stands out....yet although, i like brian lilly and weber. i haven't seen smithtown east yet. i like #20 from lindy too and elitharp is coming along nicely from esm. the 7th man player that is in possible contention could be matt johann from esm. no other setter close to ladu in the county.
