They win when they want to win, even without 3 of their best starters playing...they have such a deep bench it doesnt matter. Oceanside VB is overlooked too I think.

Who are your top 6 players?

| anonymousvballerPosts: 5Location: Join Date: April 19, 2009 1:12 PMSend Message | Just in, port is not the team to beat this year!! in the saint anthonies tournament on saturday, plainview crushed port 25 10, and beat them to move onto the finals where they lost to massapequa. if you saw the games, port placed second in their pool, plainview hadn't played for 2 hours because of rests and bye's being the top team in the other pool, they came out cold and defeated port who had all their players in the semifinals. this was a scary sight if you were there, because plainview actually played sloppily and they and still beat port by a good margin. on the lines of the article, the only good team they played was plainview in a tourney which didnt even count. also, plainview had only 3 days of practice before that tourney. otherwise they havn't played teams that are really in contention for the finals, the current rankings would probably look like 1)plainview 2)massapequa 3)port washington 4) St. Anthonies 5)bellmore and so on, and how ironic, after port lost the tourney and only made it to the semi-finals, they ran an artical telling how good and versitle they are and how they want to win the county championship this year the day after they lost, sorry port, theres just to much competition to overcome this year. | |

Port beat Syosset 3-1; but the scores were 23-25,25-23,25-22,25-22 Plainview beats Port this week in four Syosset bounces back and beats East Meadow (who was 4-1) 3-0. (Syosset beat Bellmore in three earlier in the year, yet didn't get mentioned for the top five). Massapequa has one loss in conference, but also experienced a loss to Roslyn in three, yet Roslyn has had some bad losses themselves. Jericho? West Hempstead? East Meadow? St. Anthonys? Lets here what you all think

| anonymousvballerPosts: 5Location: Join Date: April 19, 2009 1:12 PMSend Message | i would say, inarguably 1)plainview 2)massapequa, port wont be able to beat them in the season 3) port washington, they have to much pressure after the article, and they dont seem to handle pressure very well it seems. this is were things get different (4) syosset 5) bellmore 6) St. Anthonies 7) east meadow 8) hicksville 9) roslyn 10) long beach | |

| jacksheppardPosts: 11Location: Join Date: April 17, 2009 10:01 PMSend Message | I'm not a big fan of Plainview, because I think they are arrogant (they appear to be an extension of their coach), but they beat Port the other day when it counted. Port beat Syosset in a very close match at home, but a win is a win. Next week I believe Massapequa and Syosset play so that should kind of determine #3 and #4. However, Massapequa has an advantage playing at home. 1. Plainview 2. Port 3-4 Massapequa and Syosset 5 Bellmore |
