The local tax levy would rise from $89,150,900 to $91,292,517 -- a 2.4 percent increase. The average house assessed at $3,000 would pay school taxes of $5,867.19 -- an estimated increase of 2.4 percent over the current figure of $5,729.55. The budget includes actual increases in teacher salaries. An increase in state aid allowed the district to reduce the anticipated tax rate by 2.3 percentage points. The budget includes funding for the expansion of the Inclusion program to the Stimson Middle School, and the expansion of the districtwide SMART Board program. All programs and other services will be maintained, as will class sizes. | |

Although I do understand due to the schools financial situation it is important to find ways to cut back, I am concerned that there appears to be a lack of cut backs on the actualy admin side if things and little effort to review the contracts of this.
