Did the NPT parents stay til the end today or did they walk out before the end of the game as they have done before. Losers! Congrats EI.
THat is so wrong, comming from Npt I know every parent and nobody leaves early.....I understand that some can get anoyed as we are VERY supportive of our teams.....however I have not been to one soccer game were fans were rude....yes Npt Girls lost but in now way are they or the fans losers and i can say at least the girls made it that far.....contracts to the NOrthport Girls for a great season in spite of their coach and good luch to EI....I hope they bring it home. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Very arrogant people regardless of sport. Credit where it is due they are talented in a lot of girls athletics. There is a right way to handle yourself as a fan, and they just seem to drop the ball time and time again. Take nothing away from the play on the field very smooth. But from their coaches yelling about every call that is made to their girls diving on the field to the fans obnixious attitudes. Tough to root for. However they have proven that they do just fine without me cheering for them and I am sure EI will be in for their toughest game of the season on Monday. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Northport has had to play very weak competition, but they have easily disposed of both teams. Now they play EI which again is a better place for them than Ward Melville. So with port's star back and healthy, they can give EI fits in the middle of the field. I agree with above on them handling the ball well in the middle, they normally have trouble scoring, but not so far in the playoffs. I think Port will win then lose in the finals against either Melville or WI. Ward Melville is tooo strong. They truly are so talented. However the West Islip girls are brutually strong and physical and have no let up. They don't have much on offense but their defense is top notch. They will grind it out all day as they have in two great wins against better teams. Ward Melville should win, but be careful because WI will show up with a chip on their shoulder and look to stop the twins (if that is possible.)
Top 5 large school rankings 1. Ward Melville 2. Northport 3. East Islip 4. West Islip 5. Connetquot/Commack Great Season of Girls Soccer, one of the best in a long time. Stories like WI and Connetquot and Centereach, and Deer Park and Pat Med have spiced up a normally predictable grouping. Even though I can't stand the team or town, kudos to Northport making it once again to the Semis

Top teams are all over suffolk county. You have Ward Melville and Sachem East that will battle for a league title first, then a county title. You have Commack who is just trouncing opponents and Northport who just beat St. Anthonys and Connetquot who has beaten Northport and Sayville. I haven't seen East Islip yet, but all signs point to them being a player in this whole thing, beating an NB team 4-1 was somewhat of a statement game for them. So who knows who will be the last one standing when it is all said and done. My prediction will be Ward Melville vs Connetquot for title. And that is with all respect to the previous champs Sachem East, who did Suffolk proud last year. Good luck to all. It will be touogh for Sachem to repeat again. They have some good talent but need to put it together. Pat-Med made them look very bad. Connetquot is playing good, but gives up 2 goals in a lot of games. Commack seems to be the team so far.
