Something BWood had not seen all year., but the better team won in the end. I do have a question tho. What are the rules for having a band at a high school soccer game? I have seen people thrown out or asked to leave a soccer game for having an air horn or noise maker. Now BWood had a full band that performed 40 minute songs. From my understanding you can have a band as long as its run and organized by the school. Now I know and everyone else knows that, that band was not put together and performed by Brentwood students. Anyone have a say on this? Dont get me wrong it was an awesome atmosphere but a bit much in my opinion.

Does anyone know the rule about a goalie fouling a player hard outside the box rule is .....I thought it was an automatically red card?? Am I wronng???

I did say it was an awesome atmosphere. On the penalty by the keeper, I completely agree with you, that should have been a red card, my only reasoning for him not to give it was bc he missed the offside call that it should have been originally. You, me and everyone else at the game knows that he was offsides. Regardless it should have been a red card. Still didnt get an answer on the actual rule of a band at a game....and 40 minute songs... and 40 year old men playing the instruments not students of Bwood HS.??? P.S.Just so you know fans dont cheer for fans....your quote--->"it should be a bigger deal that the N Babylon fans wouldn't even get up to cheer for their fans, that's what you should be questioning." There was plenty of cheering going on for both sides. I was actually surprised how many and how energetic the NB fans were. Just because the players fathers, brothers cousins whoever they were dont play trombones doesnt mean they werent "getting up to cheer" for their team.

As for the rule about the bands, I bellieve that there is no rule, as long it doesn't affect the game. I am looking forward to the LI championship game, it should be a tough match with two excellent teams. The last two tiimes they played in the championship, the games were well played with both teams playing hard (by the way, they split with each team winning one). I look forward to the game and the band and all the hoopla and will see if I can find my cow bell! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Good effort by the Massapequa Chiefs, I'll admit that I'm not a fan of the game plan---pack-the-box and hope for a breakaway, so the match was played mostly in the middle of the field. The score coming on a breakaway by BW. I thought the officiating was the usual poor, lazy style so common in section XI. As anticipated the BW crowd was noisy, knowlegeable and enthusiastic (I'm glad that the officials don't understand the chants about their skill). Overall, I'm glad my teams won and are on the way way to the state tournament; I just wish that the LI region would get at least a shot at hosting them. So, to the Chiefs, good effort! To the Indians, keep focused, go out and take it!
