SWR did beat Miller Place twice, but each win was only 1-0, showing that Miller Place is a very strong team. Beacause of the only one point win and SWR being ranked ahead of MP, SWR did not gain many power points as Miller Place didn't lose many which is an even balance in my eyes. Then, with Rocky Points win over Shoreham, there was a huge loss and gain of power points. SWR should not have lost to a team that was ranked significantly lower than they and with Miller Place's soon after blow out of 5-1 against Rocky Point shows that they really deserve first place. You can complain about the system, but it IS truly fair and when you look back on the records it will always say, forever, that Miller Place was number one in their division.

Despite all the noise about rankings and power points, etc....the best team is still standing. A nice comeback season by Miller, a great season by Sayville, congrats on EH for playoffs, a real good job by Rocky for making playoffs and win over SWR. The Suffolk B is THE most competive group on Long Island.

SWR 's only goal of the game came after a penalty not during play. The win in the second overtime came with only 40 seconds left on the clock. It was either team's game. But one team has to be the winner and one has to be the loser... so please do not say that SWR was the clear class B top team. Congrats to SWR for the win but also to Sayville for a great game.

To say the SWR is the definate best team is not fair. They both deserved to win that game. I will agree that the group of schools...SWR, MP, PJ...wow, strong teams, great coaching. In the PJ game, Pierson had a goal that was stopped in the net in regulation that could have won it for them, so they say. You never know...great season of Hockey! I wish the best of luck to SWR and PJ today and on Wednesday.
