One team from each class (the classes are AA, A, B, C and D) and another five individuals from each class will represent Suffolk County at the NY State Intersectional Championships right here in our own backyard, on the 5K at Sunken Meadow State Park based on yesterday's results. Now the question is, &quot;Where are these results listed on the Newsday.com wedsite?If Newsday plans to post these results in the next few days, then maybe Newsday should it name from Newsday to Historyday. Years ago this paper would print articles about such championships in a timely manner. What a shame that they still don't. It's no wonder to me that this paper has had it difficulties in keep up it's circulation numbers. It makes me yearn for the old days, when the Long Island Press covered most meets, including dual meets. It almost gave our sport a sense of relevance amidst all the hype of the 'major' sports. The Armory carries results from most of the major meets in the Metro area, to include those at Van Cortland, Sunken Meadow, and Bethpage, and they are usually posted in a timely manner. It was a very large meet and a major kickoff to the Long Island XC season. I saw coverage of Football, soccer, field hockey. Can someone direct me to the page number?
