The South Side girls soccer team overachieved this year, not only winning the county but beating both undefeated Islip for LI and Willamsville East to advance to the state championship for the 7th straight year. Great Job Girls keep the tradition alive

Where is the Lindy girls volleyball team? AA NYS runners-up who ran the table through Suffolk, including 3 against perenial power Ward Melville, and the play-offs while losing only 6 games in 20 matches (including shut-outs in the County and LI Championships) - how are they not even mentioned?

Bethpage Golden Eagles

Bethpage is thrilled to be back in the Big 10. Thank you for the recognition of a team that is coached in the true spirit of high school football. Nassau County Division III continues to provide headliners this season. There is a lot of talent amongst the teams. I feel the key difference is that the Bethpage team is coached to run like a well oiled machine with interchangeable parts. This team makes adjustments during games that have lead to their continuous success. They work diligently to succeed and our community is proud of them whether they win or lose. The last two county championships have been exhiliarating - looking for that triple crown -- GO BIG BLUE! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BETHPAGE GOLDEN EAGLES ON 5-0

Div. III

Gregg: Bethpage #1 ?? The last 4 Div. III LIC’s were from Suffolk Co. 2 Years ago Suffolk III had 4 or 5 teams that would have beaten Bethpage. Islip (3-0) the defending Div. III Champs are rated #8 behind (2-1) #7 Wantagh (we all know they are your Div. III favorite team even after being Spanked by Sayville in 2004). Will you explain your reasoning here? Seems like you think Nassau has the edge this year.

Who has Sewanaka beat to make the Big 10 ? I can see Lawrence still being there out of respect of their championship last year.
